They buy mercenaries who are fine when the going is good, don't promote youth or players within then look to spend their way out. Roman will lose his roubles one day and that will be it. Whilst it may be slower we're seeing the fruit of our labour having a solid plan in place from youth to first team. These players are not only playing the way they need to slot in but have been at the club for years, fighting for a place. You can't buy that drive and commitment.
