In theory, yes, but my point being..... If tightly poised and otherwise playing well, bringing him on risks upsetting the balance in terms of pressing, workrate etc; leaving the backdoor open for (eg) 1-0 to become 2-0 and likely game over (It would feel like bringing a 2nd striker if replacing Lucas or Lamela)....

I'd start him.
Son , Kane , Bale

He played Aurier and Reg against united.

I don't know but for some reason I think it will be Aurier and Davies today.

Result could be anything really. Not going to be surprised whatever the score is.

One thing I'm more certain of is that this is the type of game where having a home crowd would have been an advantage. Against the bigger teams I think a crowd makes a difference.

In the Brighton game the crowd could easily have created a toxic atmosphere.

There was 1 or 2 people on here that earmarked this game as when he would be finally fit and firing. Would be good if they were right.

12000 members of this forum. If 1 or 2 said this will be the game he’s back to his best I think that tells you all you need to know.

We will be waiting a while to see him fully match fit.

We’ve all seen Kane get back up to speed over a number of 90minute games. that’s where we are at with Gareth. He got a quiet 90mins for Wales last week. That’s a positive.

First real test of the season and I have no idea how we will do. For both teams it’s a mustn't lose game anyway. So maybe a draw ..... would love us to win this one anyway. Real statement if we can.
