I will say Richy was showing a couple of times for the ball when others should have played him in, from memory when Kulu shot straight at Onana in the first half and when Son took fucking ages on the ball and hit the first man with his shot.
If he is being frozen out by the team around him in favour of taking on a low percentage shot that is not a good sign. We need to get another #9 in, even just to provide competition, after last season if Richy is our only option up front we are gonna be fucked if he can't get going and build some confidence. We need someone behind him looking to steal his spot so he has to play his way into the team, not just get in there because we have no one else other than playing Son out of position, which is not gonna work in the way people on here are hoping it will. Much rather keep Son wide left and bring in Orban.

Had to go out for Grandsons Birthday party and the whole family are united fans , all phones banned from table , just got home for all to see the hi lights and COYS , COYS , love the way we are starting to play football again , well done guys, love it .

The shot was right, a little better he spills and Richarlison cleans up. Pass to Richarlison was not easy
He could definitely have played that ball more laterally IMO, he didn't force Onana to stretch at all, was clearly aiming for it to go wider of Onana than it did but would have been better off putting in an ambiguous ball straight across Onana for Richy, the passing line was there with a bit better vision.

Roy Keane

"They're a good team, they fancy it when their home fans are in front of them, they've got that support and energy.

"United go away today...weak, no leadership, gave bad goals away. It's easy to play against Man United. Man Utd are the new Spurs."

So who are we🤓🤓🤓🤓🤔🤔🤔

We’re the new Spurs and they’re the new old Spurs? :sonmask:

Jokes aside, we really need to back this gaffer, Mr Chairman. I know you’ve got a squad to trim but please get him an additional striking option and a CB that can step in seamlessly for Cuti or VdV.
You know what he'll do though, he'll say we don't need any more signings...

The feeling a win like that gives you. Indescribable!!

Couple of key takeaways for me:-

- The best drug for a footballer in confidence. Ange has these guys thinking they’re better than any other team and that they can outplay anyone. It’s fantastic to see after years of being told they’re not good enough to outplay top sides.

- The fact we got better when we took the lead was so refreshing and the highlight of the day to me. We used it as a platform to dominate, not shrink back into our shell and look to hold the lead. Our defensive LB being in the area to score (ish) the 2nd is testament to Ange’s words that we don’t stop playing.

Well done lads, proud of every one of you tonight.

Let’s build on this now!!

If we start creating a few more chances around the box, we will be deadly. We will give up goals (could have today) but we will outscore opponents more times then not this season.

The way that we were just playing first touch passes in little triangles all through United’s midfield in the second half is something we have not seen in a long time. Truly beautiful stuff.
