Don't think you can ever say it has nothing to do with it, it's one of the factors but there are quite a few.
Fair enough, and I'm not against pace persay, but we've spent 90% of the match in their half so it's more about intricate passing and creativity then raw speed, which is more useful in transition, generally.

My point was that pace isn't the only thing lacking at the moment in this match from Spurs.

Anyway, we lack any real width or pace to force our way through, and our passing is as slow as ever so any team sitting deep like this can read everything easily. We desperately need to change up our style and options if we are to get close to last season's result. We need a few more signings and possibly a youngster or two introduced to shake things up. This is all too predictable right now.
 
We can expect this at Wembley this year, the likes of Burnley will park the bus, and look for something on the counter.
We've been very pedestrian though this half.
