Yes. Remember 2 occasions WHL game postponed when I was on the way. Coventry 1988, east stand debris not cleared up, no safety certificate. Bolton 2002, heavy rain, postponed about an hour before ko.
Yes, I remember Bolton. We have actually been quite lucky. Games are called off all the time at other clubs for a waterlogged pitch. It is part of the game. The old ball bounce test an hour before kick off. Some times the stadium is full before it is called off.

It's not luck, it's premier league stadium requirements to have sufficient drainage and undersoil heating to prevent exactly this scenario.
When games are called of these days (excluding C19) it's due to fans ability to travel to and from the game and safely navigate the stadium. If it's 1ft thick ice outside for instance, it would be an insurance nightmare having fans slipping over on the club property.
That and it being impossible to play, for instance thick enough fog you can't see.

I recall us playing the in FA Cup at Wembley in dense snow, but not dense enough to call it off.
Go back to the 90's and we played Forrest in the FA Cup and it had to be stopped as it was a total blizzard.

Living on my own at the moment, stuck inside with a nice TV, so football is pretty much all I look forward to these days. Saw my Dad for a walk on Christmas day. I am using my visits to the supermarket for socialising. Get a little flirt going on with the women in Costa (yes. I have seen Harry and Paul).

I hope it is not called off.

Wouldn't that also have to include players that aren't isolating? Enough cases around a club and the whole squad would have to isolate due to contact tracing no?
This is a good point. How many players are going to have to isolate due to being in contact with those that are positive.

The short answer is I don't know!

The playing squad should be tested every 2-3 days, so any positive results should bring about immediate isolation for them and their contacts. I'm guessing that the coaching staff and anyone who gets near the first team squad will also be regularly tested. This should pick up asymptomatic transmission.

Anyone got any information? I'm sure the PL would have issued instructions that all clubs must follow.

All in theory but if they tested negative at same time. .....?

The issue is the incubation period and then being able to pass the virus on just before you develop symptoms, if pre-symptomatic or asymptomatic.

It can't be just a matter of one or two as we have at least one or two so it's the extent and impact.

I think we need the game to go ahead and to win.

Facing a rampant and energetic Leeds in the top 4 and after a victory will be infinitely easier than if we face them in 8th or 9th and without a win in however long.

How are the players supposed to prepare properly on both sides if the game could be called off at any moment?

This is ridiculous, if they are going to postpone games it needs to be done with plenty of time to spare.

The rules seem to be different for different regions, some regions being allowed fans, some clubs getting postponements others not.
It throws into question the fair play and integrity of the entire competition.

I'll be honest, it rather they just cancel the season if we are continue like this.
