Johnson scored, then missed the three best opportunities to put a Spurs player in on goal because he rarely if ever gets his head up. The lord giveth, and the lord taketh away.

Infinitely more lively that those two insipid holograms Son and Werner though.

You have to block shots. How can you stop giving corners away. Issue is we don't defend them. Just ditch zonal marking and put someone on Antonio. Very easy to implement in game. Not sure why Ange isnt sorting it
Never been a fan of zonal marking. The cat beater had the freedom of the box there

Yea besides the goal and one good carry at the end of the half, Johnson didn’t do a whole lot.

Glad for the goal of course though.

We need more from Maddison, too many games are passing him by.

Porro aswell some of his sloppy passing really fucked us early on. Considering he is a technical player he should be doing better in this regard.

Can't believe we gave these fuckers a lifeline
Madders been decent mate. He’s probing away and they can’t get near our three in there. Just need to play passes in behind rather to feet to strikers. Our front three couldn’t hold up a bank with a bazooka

Funny how an early Tottenham goal somehow galvanised West Ham to 'let off the shackles' and come storming back...

Yet an early goal conceded against Woolwich fucking KILLED them, and they went on to concede 5 more...

Makes no sense... unless they did it deliberately!
Yes but we didn’t really put any pressure on their goal after scoring. We kept trying to play short slow passes instead using the wide players and FBs to get wide.

1. Think our receiving forwards often make those balls look harder

2. Agree
Though that's valid; in first instance the better ball is shunned, for some odd reason.

Also, if I'm in midfield, I am not fizzing a skipper along the turf to Son, expecting him to control it.

Super low probability of that.
