City and Newcastle have no such rules. So Im guessing no..?
Not yet.

I don’t see why we can’t just have a local, self made businessman who has supported us since birth and ploughs his fortunes into the club. Surely it’s not that hard!

Honestly can’t believe people would accept a Saudi takeover. I’d hand in my ST immediately. Our owners may have their weaknesses but they’re British and Levy is Spurs.

Are you ok then with Spurs signing non-British players? Lol

Of course. But we’re talking about the ownership of the club. I’d much rather it stays in British hands. And I certainly wouldn’t support Saudi ownership. Pretty easy to understand why. Chelsea and City’s achievements will always be tainted because they’ve landed on endless funds from foreign ownership which, ethics aside, have just smashed up the organic growth and evolution of football.

A lot of people are simply assuming that a takeover means we win stuff, as if all the other money teams will just fall away. We are in an era where teams can get to the final of the League Cup by playing their expensive reserves.

I said yes because our owners are far from innocent lambs and likely have made a lot of money working with the kind of governments that people are complaining about being owners of the clubs. I guess it is easier to rationalize it if it is arm lengths away but not sure how much of a difference that their really is.

I have only ever supported the club, not the owners. So unquestionably would still buy tickets and attend games. I probably wouldn't buy as much merch though. I admit although wold hurt the owners, it would still hurt the club.

I've never found the need to protest etc. I can only really remember the Sugar era onwards, but I would campaign vociferously to get rid of the owners. Although I doubt it would have much affect.

Is there a "maybe" option..

Come in, don't try and change us, spend money and allow the manager to run the team.. Then reduce my season ticket price by half and I am a "YES"

My answer is yes, nut them my character is such tjat I think I woupd check out.

I like the idea of winning but I like more the idea of winning with some degree of doubt about the result and because players have been bought and developed and because they really care about the club.

Its a touch idealistic on my part but if we ever won things as a result of a multi billion pound takeover I am sure I will celebrate but it won't mean as much as it would have done had we achieved it lets say during Pochettino' s reign.

We've become a "Win at all costs" mentality.... it's not our fault, we're merely the Western Idiots who have fallen in love with the Western Capitalist dream that money buys happiness.... more fool us!

and the irony is, it takes some Saudi/Middle-Eastern Sheikh to show us what TRUE HAPPINESS IS... buy your success.... that's happiness! and now we belittle it... and yet it's all we ever dreamed of!

Western Capitalist greed mentality.... fuelled by Middle Eastern Oil money wealth to satisfy that greed .,...

only thing is, you've gotta strike Gold/Oil first!

It's a fool's conundrum!

Its better to try to win at all costs rather than lose to make the owner rich.
