The talk about promoting Leeds and West Brom - they are only 6/7 points ahead of third with 9 matches to go - how would that be fair to the teams in 3-16, who could still qualify for top 2/playoff?
Liverpool are crowned champions, but then everyone else in the league is treated differently? So only Liverpool's place in the table matters - how would that be fair? Some teams have played 28 matches, others 29. Villa gets relegated even though a win puts them in 16th?
Every compromise solution is a disaster because of all the conflicts of interest. That's why voiding the season is still a likely option - there is precedent and it reverts to the "default", which are the 18/19 results. Frankly, this wouldn't even be a discussion if Liverpool weren't leading the table.
One option that has been bandied about that I personally enjoy and someone mentioned it earlier: no European football or Carabao cup next season - instead, everyone plays their remaining 2019/20 matches and then add a full regular season on top of that, so its a super season with 76 matches played from 2019-2021. That would be a blast.
