Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I've met Chris and like him a lot but why the fuck is he having that baldy shitbird on a Spurs channel??

I've no problem with respectful opposing fans but when it's gooner vermin like him, they should never be given a platform on a Spurs channel.
Expressions has done preview with Troopz which was watchable.......if you can understand it! But they give as good as they get but that baldy cunt a grown man acting like a child, cretin. I’ve no issue with a sensible review of a game either pre-match or post match but AFC Fan tv is just beyond a joke and yesterday basically summed it up.

Ex and Troopz are best friends though and have been since before YouTube. Their banter is based on their frendship, they go on holiday together.

I'm pretty sure Cowlin doesn't know the slaphead from Adam or go on holiday with him so getting the twat on a Spurs channel is purely for views. It's his channel so he can do what he wants but the minute i see that bald cunt i'm switching off the video rapidly.

Woolwich build from the back, we press with Kane.

We try to build from the back, they press with the whole team.

Then we shit the bed and lump it forward. Not only that but because we’re overrun in midfield, our attacking players have to track back deeper and deeper, leaving Kane with absolutely no support as a targetman and therefore our only counter-attacking pattern being brough to 0.

How some people refuse to acknowledge how fucking poor tactically we are when all the evidence is there to see is baffling.

Thanks for the posting. Very clear. Additionally, I would add that any professional player should be able to adjust this on the pitch. Where are the leaders and where is the attitude?

Idk if anyone else feels this.

But every defeat we have doesn't even hurt as bad anymore. I'm so used to it and to be honest this season is so tarnished.

This season has just been so bad and tbh I've just sort of written most of the games off and I'm just hoping and focusing on next season and next summer..

I certainly agree that I no longer have much expectations that I did in previous seasons so the let down on game day is not as bad.

Seems to happen a lot! Remember most of the players had been tested and didn’t have travel. Goons played 9 I think of the starting 11 from Greece. Plus I didn’t see them look tired or off it in the last 10 minutes. Tell me when do you not see Lucas pressing and running at players? He didn’t do any of that in the first half, why? However he did plenty in the last 10 minutes. Was he told not? I the first few minutes you could see what were gonna do as even Moura was back inside our half retreating rather than pressing their shite defenders which he normally always does.
The last 10 minutes cannot be used as an example because the gooners were just sitting back at that point trying to hold on to the ball which is why we found so much space and were able to press them more.

Woolwich 2-1 Tottenham: 'A massive backward step - Jermaine Jenas on why Spurs' recent progress was 'all a lie'

Match of the Day 2 analysis

From Tottenham's perspective, Sunday's north London derby was a day when everything bad that could have happened, did.
After the way things had been progressing for Jose Mourinho's side in recent weeks, what I saw from them in their 2-1 defeat at Emirates Stadium felt like a massive backward step in a number of ways.

Spurs had gone into the game on the back of three successive Premier League wins and a couple of convincing victories in Europe, scoring lots of goals and taking a few of those teams apart.
It was all looking good. They have got the Carabao Cup final to look forward to, they have got one foot in the quarter-finals of the Europa League and they are in touching distance of the top four. Potentially, with the way they had started playing, I had thought this season could be unbelievable.
Then, one performance later, I am left thinking that, no, it was all a lie.
It feels like all of my optimism was completely misplaced because it came after they had played three minnows, basically, in Burnley, Fulham and Crystal Palace. The minute they have come up against anyone decent, they have reverted to type.
That means sitting deep and being cautious, which again got Spurs nowhere on Sunday. And what we saw against Woolwich is what is going to happen every time unless Mourinho gets them back playing on the front foot.

'Tottenham's mindset was absolutely awful'

Erik Lamela replaced Son Heung-min, who went off after 19 minutes with what appeared to be a hamstring injury
It was an all-round shocker of a display from Tottenham against Woolwich but, first and foremost, their mindset for the game was absolutely awful.
Going into any derby with the type of mentality I saw from the whole Spurs team in the first half is asking for trouble. They were there to be beaten, as simple as that.
I don't see the point in putting Harry Kane, Gareth Bale, Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura on the pitch if you are just going to sit off the opposition and let them have control of the game like they did.
The one thing you always try to do in these situations is let the other team know who is boss. The last thing you want to do is let them build their confidence, but Spurs did exactly that.
Early on, Woolwich were playing one, two then three passes and you could see them thinking 'yeah, this is feeling good'. No-one stopped them.
I could sit here and say that Bale and Matt Doherty down Tottenham's right side were weak - and, yes, that's where Woolwich got a lot of joy going forward.

But Bale is not on the pitch to defend, he is there to go forward and make things happen and that is another thing that I thought was missing massively in the first half.
Once Son went off injured after 19 minutes there were no forward runners behind the Woolwich defence anymore. There was no attempt to hurt them whatsoever.

'Hojbjerg was nowhere to be seen'

Erik Lamela puts Tottenham in front against Arsenal
Lamela puts Tottenham ahead in the 33rd minute. Before that move, which saw Lucas Moura help Sergio Reguilon's cross into Lamela's path, they had not managed a touch in the Gunners area
The one highlight for Spurs was Lamela's incredible 'rabona' goal. It was just stunning, and it got me up and out of my seat even though my legs are in agony after I've hiked 100km for Comic Relief this week.
But it came out of nowhere and they were not able to build on it. Sometimes when you take the lead against the run of play like that you can kind of say to each other "right, we need to sort it out now", but that just didn't happen.

Woolwich's equaliser was a terrible goal to concede - the defending from Doherty was too weak and Kieran Tierney went past him too easily. Then, from his cutback, Martin Odegaard was unmarked - it was all a little bit schoolboy.
It was the same right through the Spurs team. They didn't look convincing in anything they did and they did not have any authority at all, anywhere on the pitch. I don't know what's happened to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg recently. He started the season absolutely on fire, but I think it has gone under the radar how poor he has been in the past few weeks.
Hojbjerg was nowhere to be seen during Sunday's game, but he was not the only one. There was just poor performance after poor performance all over the pitch. It was so disappointing.
Kane was also extremely quiet, until Lamela was sent off. Then he decided to come to life, but I don't really understand why it took the red card for Spurs to start attacking. It felt a bit like they were thinking "we are losing and down to 10 men, let's throw caution to the wind".
No, don't wait. You have got good players, so go and play forward in the first place. When you have got that mentality to go and take risks, like Woolwich did, then you get the rewards.

'Son injury adds salt to the wound'

Referee made a wrong decision - Mourinho
Don't get me wrong, the big decisions went against Spurs on Sunday - I don't think it was a penalty for Woolwich's winner and Lamela was unlucky to get two yellow cards.
But that is not where the game was won and lost - Woolwich were much the better side and they ended up winners because they approached the game in a really positive way, they were brave on the ball and they showed their quality.
In contrast, Tottenham's approach stank of a Mourinho who was more concerned with Woolwich than his own team, and showing what Spurs could do. He didn't set them up to win that game, he set them up worried about what the opposition can do to them.
To add a bit of salt to the wound, Spurs have lost Son for what could be the best part of six weeks with his hamstring injury - and they have potentially lost some of Bale's allegiance to the cause too.
If I were Bale, I would be annoyed at being dragged off before the hour mark of a north London derby, because I would be looking around thinking I've been no worse than anyone else here.
Mourinho might just have sent that relationship back to ground zero as well.
Doherty does everything wrong. It’s not easy
Takes years of hard work and dedication
He’s not good enough. Ok when we are in control but against better players, we don’t get a hold

Several individuals lost us the game not just one or two

Jose set us up to attack like we all wanted but we weren’t capable of doing it especially first half

Jose did not set up to attack. What game were you watching. Was the sissoko sub evidence he wanted to win the game from 1-1 or keep a point? This is jose reverting to type

Signed jose
Hoejberg
Joe hart
Reguilon
Bale

all winners and leaders.

maybe, just maybe it’s a lack of quality and ESPECIALLY coaching?
I seriously think there is no coaching on being able to attack back to from or how to beat a press other than hoofing the ball anywhere which for is normally to an oppo player still in our own half.

How do you know that he ‘instructed’ them to play defensively?

You don’t and it’s just your opinion which you’re entitled to

I think he set them up to attack but for various reasons they couldn’t do it
Players fatigued, off form , not good enough and the Scum were really on the front foot from the off

Any manager would struggle
Any manager? Arteta didn’t with his lot he had no problems getting them fired up and play with pace, fight and no little passing and moving plus they just came back from a longish distance from Greece. Our manager is paid £15M/ yr to get at least the min that Arteta got from his lot. This is not the first time we have played like this so it cannot be down to tiredness and all the players all of a sudden out of form when only a few days ago they were banging in 4 v palace. Remember most of players had a good rest mid week. It’s bollocks all the excuses people make. We’ve lost 9 games in the PL this season and not beaten anyone who has been higher than us when we’ve played them. This is VFM from the self proclaimed best coaching team in the world. Bollocks not having it.

The Sissoko sub was evidence that he saw Doherty was struggling and needed help

I do concede that he should have done it well before that when it was obvious that Bale found it to be beneath him helping out his FB

You’re not having it because you have a clear agenda like a few others on here and elsewhere as evidenced by your silly name

Call yourself Bazali2 for some credibility

Only one change from the last EPL game v Palace -Ndombele for Winks.
From the DZ game 6 changes: Doc for Aurier, Toby for Dier, Hog for Sissoko, Reggie for Davies, Lucas for Dele and Bale for Lamela.

I posted this before the game and I genuinely believed Jose had got the selections right...and I still do.
I just don't understand how we had the advantage of fresher legs and in form players and yet the team did not show up until the second half.
It's not as if Arseanal were that good-they weren't.

Jenas can fuck off, clearly dislikes Mourinho.

Jenas wants Tottenham to win matches, he feels the same as all the rest of us. The performance yesterday was just pathetic to watch, both in comparison to recent matches where we played on the front foot and the previous 2-0 win against Woolwich where we played very solid Mou-ball. How can the same players go so limp in a game like that? How can Mourinho not prepare them to play this match properly?

Sorry Baz but that’s absolute nonsense.

I think you could indeed be right when you say he “set us up to attack”, however the fact we were completely and utterly incapable of doing so is just a further indication of how woefully inept management abilities now are.

I mean sure, some of our players aren’t good enough, but just have a look at the absolute state of that Woolwich team yesterday. Bar maybe Gabriel for Sanchez, there is not one of their starting team that I would pick over ours.
Yet they looked fresher, more tactically astute than us and looked like there had been some actual work done on the training ground on attacking transitions and pressing.

We were an absolute shambles yesterday.

No agenda just calling it how I saw the game pan out. We know your a jose fan but surely you can accept that we looked totally bereft of any attacking nous. As per TomHotspur totally agree with his comments. Most of us are disappointed with the performance , mind set and the actual tactical plan if it can be called that from yesterday especially in a NLD. We expect something but it was a damp sqib.
