Haaland is 20 and will probably be the world’s best player in a few years. He also apparently has an £80m release clause so it’s a no brainier for anyone.

If City get Haaland though, United will become more desperate to get Kane as otherwise City will sail off into the distance. At that point £150-200m bids could happen.

After watching what happened with Modric and Bale you would have to think Harry (or his agent) is a complete mug in that case.

And it's already been hinted that sort of agreement may exist.

Mourinho was the big gamble to win something and keep Kane. Now it has gone wrong, Kane has a desire unmatched by the club it seems.

I am not happy about it either but I don’t k ow about it setting us back 10 years. You could be right of course but it may not happen that way, just like we lost Berba, Modric and Bale and manage to bounce back relatively quickly.

We're finishing where we did 10 years ago and winning as much. Don't get this thinking that it will set us back. Don't want him to leave and for us to build a team around him of a similar quality. That is not possible. Given the 18 months without fans, there is no way that we would do that even if we made record profits. Even an domestic won't cut it for him. He wants even bigger prizes. We aren't competing with the likes of city and that's what he wants.

Haaland is also young enough that City can shift him for a profit in a few years if they decide to part ways.

We bounced back because we got incredibly lucky. Vertonghen, Lloris, Eriksen, Dembele, Son, Kane, we spent about £70m on them and they all turned out world class together. We spent £60m on Dembele‘s replacement and he’s been shit. The chances of us getting lucky like that again are exactly zero.

We already have a weak defence and midfield, take Kane out and there is almost nothing left to work with. We’d be putting the future of the team in Levy and Hitchens hands and they will let us down as they always do.

True although with City’s money they wouldn’t need to sell their top talent. Also can’t see Real Madrid throwing £200-300m on a player these days with their debt. Haaland would be their new Aguero only even better than he was.

Yep this is spot on, unfortunately the powers that be have had fucking ample time to show all of us 'they mean business' when we needed a rebuild and they were arrogant enough to think our top players and fans were just going to accept this shit?
