Happy were through but confusing performance. Not sure whether half of team want to be at tottenham or have desire. Then not sure whether is applying right tactics. Really disappointed with bergwijn. Thought he was star in making. Add him to list to winks, doherty, rodon (loan), scarlett (loan), alli who need to leave us. Romero is another vertonghen imo but with an edge. I like that. Not 100 per cent convinced players are buying into nuno philosophy. Moura has been great this season but made some bad choices in key areas. Got the winner. Dont understand why burnley gave dyce a four year deal. Havent won in league all season. Bizarre.

A few of us will probably get carded by Mrs P!
Sorry to have missed the banter. Just want to make a few observations before trying to get a bit of shut-eye on the coach home.
Okay first half, once we got Sonny and Tanguy on, thought we were going for an all out attack, and looked good up to the time we scored. We should have gone for the kill, but we let them attack us and so spent the last 10 minutes or so on tenterhooks. Luckily they couldn't hit the target and we got away with it, don't think we will against a better side.
I was surprised to see their end behind the goal nearly empty and they weren't very noisy.
On individual pages performances- I thought that PEH, Skippy, Ben, Gio and Cuti had decent games. I thought that Kane was pretty dreadful, he looked lethargic, but to be fair he doesn't seem to get a lot of protection from refs anymore, especially the case tonight.
Great to see Aaron Lennon get a great reception, but was then worried he might actually score!
All in all, just glad we got through what could have been a tricky tie and onwards to the next round. As long as it's not a London Derby, we might be all right :)

Midfield imo is the main problem and last third theres no movement off ball or energy. No triangle passing in centre midfield. More questions than answers. Would like van der beek in january if solksjaer survives at united. Also need a dead ball specialist to adf to armoury or get us out of shit in tight games. Royal did well tonight i thought. Technical right back. More to come from him.

Possible Opposition :

Woolwich
Chelsea

Sunderland
Wham
Brentford

Liverpool
Leicester

Odds on a local derby !
Ahhh, a Lunnun Derby... our forté recently!
Well it's slightly more than a 57% chance of happening, so hey.... bring it on... it's worked out well so far this seaso....oh, hang on, wait!
How fucking stupid..... Just do it tonight whilst everyone's still in the zone...... Who gives a fuck on a Sat morning?!?!?!?
....'cos it takes 3 days to get the necessary balls properly warmed up!

Literally just got back. Think that’s my limit for away day travelling in my vintage years. Half the motorways closed too and the scenic routes aren’t very scenic in pitch black. God knows how many speeding tickets I’ve picked up.

Hope it was a useful run out for the players but it wasn’t a great watch. Burnley were gash… but maybe we defended well too. Skipp was impressive - very energetic. Forward play lacked a cutting edge. Kane was a distraction and stopped other players from going for goal themselves more. He needs to be find form now or be shifted on. Swapping him for Sonny would have been a better sub.

Half hearted applause from the players at the end was quite poor. Burnley on a Wednesday night is a heck of an effort. Only Sonny properly came over and have his shirt. He is our main man. As for their fans, what a weird and tragic bunch of Neanderthal wankers.

Steven Bergwijn

Cost 27 Million + 8 Million in wages so far
Scored 1 goal last season,
0 this season
No pace
No skill
A winger that doesn’t shoot, pass or cross
Specializes in air shots
Without doubt one of the worst wingers we’ve ever had

Woeful..

watch it on tv last night,
god looked like 2 poor teams playing, both teams looked like they couldn't pass the ball to team mates
Bergwyn just don't see anything from this guy since we got
GLC busy but what does he do well, mybe just a better/younger Lamala
Sanquaz just can't play on Left side, just awful moving ball out from defence
Kane were do you start ? he has completely lost his touch, said for a few years he doesn't want a bish bash game, but now can't control ball on the floor
Levy can't be liking what he seeing here, even if its just the dropping transfer fees he can get for these players that need/want to go

Our build up is so slow, lots of sideways passing across the halfway line which allows the opposition to defend in numbers, that is totally on Nuno. I’m done with Bergwin he was a bad signing and apart from the goal Moura is headless. So many of our players, especially Kane, seem to have totally lost their way. Romero, Royal and Skipp were good beyond that average or poor.
It just seems that they’re going through the motions

It all stems from the top. I know it’s a cliche but when a club has no real footballing direction it clearly affects the players . If the Dele rumour is true then the players find the situation as many fans do, half arsed & ridiculous They read the chairman’s notes & then see the reality. There’s little respect left in the club , from staff being told to work in levy’s garden during lockdown , Friedel being charged for shirts , the endless lies& covering cracks with bullshit. I think trust has gone within the club & that’s toxic

I thought Spurs looked really solid defensively. When Burnly piled their team forward with long ball throws and crosses they were the better team for 13 minutes, Romero and Sanchez dealt with it.

LoCelso was good, Bergwyn had a poor game, he killed a lot of our attacks at the final moment. As a team we passed them backwards to death until they gave up on life due to sheer boredom. A very organized Burnley finally switched off and Spurs won.

I actuallly think Romero/Sanchez might be out best pairing.
