Matthias Svanberg is linked to Spurs...

.... Matthias Svanberg's agent will meet to discuss a new contract at Bologna... 🤔

Mattias Svanberg’s agent is set to meet with Bologna over the coming days to discuss a new contract or a potential transfer amidst Tottenham’s interest in the midfielder, CalcioMercato have now claimed.

I know many Spurs were (almost) "desperate" for these 2 swap deals to come through and that if Juve had agreed they would have been deemed daft, stupid etc. I am not saying I am against these 2 swap deals (if it was true) but I don't see it has a huge loss either if it won't work out.
The thing is ,both Lo Celso and Ndombele have higher ceilings than McKennie and most probably Kuluseski both could turn out to be big hits in the less intense and slower Seri A.
There will be a WC this summer so Lo Celso will play well for Argentina and his price will increase 😁 And for Ndombele, Conte just said about him: "Tanguy is showing a good commitment, a good attitude in training sessions." If he can turn up his performances his price will most likely increase as well, or at least not decrease. Hopefully, Pochettino will see the potential he saw in both when he bought then and buy them for PSG 😁

If we could get McKennie for Ndombele I would take that all day long. Not only does it reduce our wages, which hopefully would help get some other big names but likely just means Levy would happily pay less overall, McKennie would actually be able to contribute to the team for 90 minutes week after week.

I don't the Kuluseski links as he doesn't fit in the 3-5-2 outside of maybe being a back-up in the front which isn't ideal as he doesn't score enough. For 35m that is a lot of money for a sub. I guess if he is available more than GLC it isn't a terrible move but I think there are better fits.

Surprised that Kuluseski is rumoured to be worth more I would much rather McKennie over him.

Absolute clown-talk.

So the club was worth 2BN when they bought it?
No. It’s increased in value due to the general growth in value of PL clubs so invest a bit and maximise the investment

Tanganga has probably started less than 15 games in his preferred position, he needs a chance to show what he can do.

Rose and Walker came back infinitely better from their loan spells. If I’d have told you Rose was going to be pivotal to a team that challenged for the league and CL before he went to Sunderland you’d have laughed at me.

Look at the Chelsea academy players in their starting XI - both Mount and James came back better players from their loan spell at Derby.

Look at Skipp too and how last season improved him too. There are so many examples.

The problem for Tango is that he’s not good enough to command a starting place yet, but our lack of quality at the back has meant he’s too important to send on loan.

A season in the Bundesliga would be fantastic for him and unlike you, I do see a pathway for him to be a starting CB for a top 4 side, particularly in a back 3.

Progress isn’t always linear, Tango has enough tools to believe he can be a top CB, he needs a chance to play football on loan before we write him off.
That's 2 of how many? Don't forget all the 100's of loaned out Chelski players who stagnated and never made it at Chelski. They must have a European record of loaning out extensive youth players who never made to the 1st team
Not all players improve magically by being loaned out.
Both James and Mount were already seen as exceptional talents before they went out on loan

Understand, but in recent years January transfers have included:

Bruno Fernandes
Tielemans
Odegaard
Pulisic
Higuain
Even Lo Celso (didn't work out but was a major signing at time)

These players have been bought by teams with an urgent need at the time. If we want top four and a trophy with the best manager this club has seen in decades, the need is very urgent.

We are the masters of our own fate if we do the work and put our money where our mouth is.

I'm tired of hearing reasons why Levy and ENIC should be given a free pass.
Ødegaard with an Ø and not O 😁
The name actually stems from the black death times as farms where people had died from it were often called: Øde = secluded or isolated; gaard = farm.

Meh. Suarez also was young at that sort of age/stage, just signed for Liverpool (so, in football terms, just come from a second tier league). So, a good comparison, mostly in terms of dynamic appearance.

I am not saying Dias is bad I am just saying that at his age the word young should not be used. There is likely not much more development in him, he will come in as the player he is likely to be going forward.

Yes Tanganga is our 2nd best CB, that doesn't mean he is super amazing but our CBs are shit. In that same discussion I said I saw Tanganga as being a good squad player that could be a back-up and that he should go out on loan to get game time.

I said Tarkowski was better than what we have but not good enough for our team.

You really struggle with reading comprehension.
You think I struggle with comprehending you! LOL ...newsflash most everyone on this forum cant comprehend you, most all of them think your a complete fool. But keep telling yourself your increasingly odd contributions are much admired. You have zero sense of humour and seem to watch an entirely different game to everyone else. I think you have broke the record for disagrees on your posts. IGGY your just an odd little man.

Just watched Elise for palace surely at the price cp got him we should have been all over it. Same as with exec and Watkins. We keep ducking around with foreign players who we don’t about their attitude or anything. Just image if we got Watkins. He got into England squad just missed out on euros and would HG. Kane son and Watkins would have been a great from 3. Plus he could play up front meaning lane would get his rest. As for now I’d say as I have already just get quality sell what we can to raise funds and do part ex as wel. For me Nevis is the one. He would make the team tick just like modric with added bonus he scored more and his set pieces will be miles better than Kane and son. Forget Adama and just go lampety his been injured once. It’s not like his a lamela type. Only 21 compared to Adama and play rwb. Send them winks or Doh as part ex and offer 30M. May be Rodin on loan to them as well as a seeetner. Finally if bissoma is cleared go for him. Said it last season a box to box cm just what we need. That’s 2/3 quality players who would go straight into starting 11. No ficking around about untiring them and they have PL experience.
As for the foreign players people mention I’ll leave that for others to determine. Just please don’t waste mo et on Adama trying to work out if he can play rwb.

Spot on and we'll do the same with Brereton.
