Wood?
Where did I say that "the rest should be average"? Of course, any fan who understands football also understands the need for a strong bench. Why do you think there are so many posts mentioning the need for backup quality forwards? If we're playing against an extremely low block, chances are we take off Son.
If Kane isn't playing well, Kane.
If Kulu isn't playing well, Kulu.
Our fans have to start understanding that a great team doesn't have 11 world beaters and the rest should be average. Sometimes it's ok if one of the great players starts from the bench...
Serendipity..
I would blow it on 1-2 players and then play the free market. If Conte thinks CB or RWB is most important then spunk the fund. See Allison and VVD150 million doesn't go as far as you'd think in 2022. Unless there's some defender out there who would shine regardless of system I'd rather we didn't blow half our budget on a CB. Bastoni ticked all the boxes for being worth a big fee, I'm not sure the others do.
Thing is, when was the last time you saw Kane and/or Son being taken off bar injuries or to rest them for the next game?Whoever wasn’t playing well. This year our options off the bench were both awesome (Bergy) and average (Moura).
From your question, it sounds like you would just keep the same front 3 regardless of performance?
Guehi would be class![]()
Alessandro Bastoni, Lenglet, Torres, Guehi, Kim Min-jae and Spurs' defender list
Tottenham Hotspur are looking for at least two new centre-backs for Antonio Conte's squad this summer and the links are already starting to roll inwww.football.london
Apparently Guehi might be an option. Would he be a good LCB? Only one top flight season but he's extremely highly rated by palace fans.
I would think there are a few reasons.
One has to be the heart issue and whether Eriksen can be insured to play anywhere in Europe?
That Eriksen, now 30 and as above will not be able to or should expect to start each match.
Third, does Eriksen himself want a lesser role bevause that's what it would be.
As a squad addition I agree it's a no brainer but this is not a completely usual situation.
I wonder would the reasons he wasn't allowed play in the Italian league come into play if he signed for us and we were drawn against and Italian team?If reports are to be believed then CE himself is seeking CL football, so must have some kind of indication that UEFA would allow it...
Safe to assume if he's allowed to compete in the Nations League in the current int. break then it's a non-issue.
Yeah they're qualified for Europa players at best with Nuno as manager. Opportunties to attract real top talent dont come around that often, we have everything in place this summer and need to make the most of it.lenglet and soucek lol
getting into the CL these are the names i was not expecting
soucek is no different to what we have and lenglet well no need to explain that one
lenglet 0M (loan) + molina 25-30M euros
these 2 MUST arrive by 7 june
it's late

You wouldn’t though would you? I’m not getting excited about Soucek BUT he does chip in with goals which is more than you can say about any of our CM options
I’m not comfortable with your continued presence on hereI'm not comfortable with Eriksen's heart being tested against Conte's training.
The only reason I can see why Spurs would be looking at Lenglet is if both Sanchez and Rodon leave. Lenglet can play CCB (being an understudy to Dier).lenglet and soucek lol
