Ha, mentioned this kid again the other day in the other matches thread. I like him. Good energy, good aggression, likes to bomb on and attack and often finds a good final ball.
I'd be happy taking a punt on this kid.
You think he’d be ready to start, or more of a development player for a year or two?
Rennes academy one of the best in Europe and Truffert is highly rated. Capped for France aged 20. He’ll end up at a top club. Or spurs I guess.
Not sure why we’d sign him if Udogie is coming. Young players need minutes.

My personal vision of the next few weeks
I suspect Poundland is currently in the studio at the state of the art training facility that he unnecessarily haunts everyday, telling himself that all around him are letting the club down , are failing to realise his vision of dominating the football world . He knows that the only thing to lift spirits is a creepy video speaking to the fans in the kind of way that made him the kid at school everyone thought was a slimy prick.
So it’s scapegoat time and the DOF which is on Poundland in the first place has fortunately thrown himself under the bus. I fully expect when Syrup goes the video which is as keenly anticipated as the next series of Line Of Duty will drop.

I don't think it's great and think it's indicative of a club that is unsure of what to do ad how to do it.
But then so are the fans. Just look at the comments on here to know whatever we do will be wrong.
I want to agree and disagree with this post all at once
Do I want him back most definitely YES
Do I want Poundland to break him and tarnish his memory most definitely NO
Club will 100% keep leaking stories about potential signings, takeovers or investors to keep all the fans engaged and somewhat placated throughout the remainder of the window. Then when they don't get anyone in, not anyone actually needed anyway, they'll say they tried but the market wasn't right for big purchases.
Then in the summer window, they'll target unrealistic players like gvardiol or bastoni (or other players who have turned them down before and clearly aren't interested) and not get them in, before bringing in someone dodgy on a loan with an option for peanuts.
Sounds like just the thing my totally, 100% fictitious Poundland character would do, spooky
