Manager Ryan Mason

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The sensible option would be for Mason to take over until the end of the season and then appoint Poch!

Listening to Arry on Talkshite earlier saying that he would help Ryan and maybe not a bad idea?

:harryhmm:

I'm more than happy for Mason to take over until the summer. We need a sense of pride back, a sense of Spurs.

And its obvious no one wants to take us over with less than a third of the season to go.

And as well as a sense of pride start playing football without fear that the players enjoy and we, as fans, will also enjoy

He favoured Winks ahead of superior foreign talents in Ndombele
Ndombele is in a different universe to Winks when it comes to footwork and ball skills. But he was the laziest, most out-of-shape fuck that I've seen at Spurs in 40 odd years. It's like watching a Ferarri try and speed race with BMX wheels. All that talent and fuck all effort. The day he wasted valuable seconds walking as slowly as possible off the pitch made me want to lob a brick at his bonce.

Ryan Mason was appointed as the caretaker manager of Tottenham Hotspur in April 2021, following the sacking of Jose Mourinho. Mason, who had been working as a coach in the club's academy, was given the role on an interim basis until the end of the 2020-21 season.

During his time as caretaker manager, Mason oversaw six Premier League games, winning four and losing two. He also led the team to the Carabao Cup final, where they were defeated by Manchester City.

Mason was praised for his positive and attacking style of play, which saw the team score 16 goals in the six games he was in charge. He also showed a willingness to give opportunities to younger players, such as 20-year-old striker Dane Scarlett, who made his debut under Mason.

Despite his relative lack of experience as a manager, Mason was widely respected by the players and staff at Tottenham, and his short tenure as caretaker manager was seen as a success. After the end of the season, he returned to his role as a coach in the club's academy.

Lose lose situation for me. Mason isn’t ready to step into this job, I don’t care what anyone says. He steps in and we win a few games, then gives Spurs an excuse to go the cheap option and appoint him full time. Disaster written all over it. He steps in and we lose as much as under Conte, then we blow any small chance we have of top 4. There is a no win whatsoever appointing Mason. It’s bloody ridiculous to even consider it. If Conte goes, we appoint the new manager during international break it’s as simple as that.
A Levy stooge.

And if he got the gig full time the people bigging him up now will be the first in the queue to shit all over him in 18 months just like they turned and shat on Poch, Mourinho and Conte before him
As predictable as the sun 🌞 rising in the morning

Obviously he won’t be here in 18 months

Are you ok?

How do you know that?

Not a lot of point in hiring any top managers or proven winners. We've been down that road and they all fail here and get hounded out!

If he had a great run of results and we qualified for the Champions League there would be plenty calling for it and Levy may even have an Arteta moment and go for it.

I remember lots of people saying we'd never appoint Nuno :roflmao:

I'm fine thanks, btw.

Of course I don’t know that but it’s highly unlikely that he would be in place any longer than this season and he hasn’t even been appointed yet!

Simon Jordan predicted that we’d appoint Nuno and a certain filthy grass on here put money on it!

Maybe Poch will appoint him as his assistant?

As an AI language model, I cannot speculate or provide any opinions on individuals. Daniel Levy is the Chairman of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and has been credited with transforming the club's fortunes in recent years. Levy has overseen the development of the new stadium, the recruitment of top-quality players, and the appointment of a world-class manager.

Levy has also been involved in various negotiations and deals related to the club's operations, including player transfers and sponsorships. While Levy may have faced criticism or controversy over certain decisions or actions, it is not appropriate or fair to label him as a "stooge" without any evidence or context.

Out of interest, who's your choice mate?

I'm only interested because you seem one of the first to turn on each manager when things inevitably start turning to shit. From Redknapp onwards I believe.

So just really keen to know who you think would finally be Daniels "Mr Right"

:sonhmm:

I'd love the Sporting manager, but he isn't leaving midseason, especially with a chance of winning European silverware.

Poch just makes too much sense. The majority of the fans want him, supposedly the players want him, he plays the football the board want, and he's a project manager...

So welcome Thomas Tuchel... :levylol:

That’s true when I was against Poch when he rocked up but he turned it around and I was man enough to admit it that I had got it wrong!

You should try it

But not true when both Jose and Conte were appointed as I was fully behind them for a lot longer than most so basically most of your post is crap!

I think that Poch should get it either now or in the Summer with Ryan possibly as interim manager who will be more experienced after his last stint

Happy now?

Of course you’re not….

Out of interest regarding Redknapp any proof that I was one of the first to turn on him?
At the end he had to go because he had lost focus on us due to the England manager application

That’s true but Ryan will have learned more since his last stint and if he’s appointed then we should all get behind him!

I was pleased when Cunte was first appointed but I think that me along with a lot of other people have been ‘had’ as the saying goes

Complete fraud imv
I too was happy when we got him, it seemed like a show of ambition at the time and I was probably more swayed by that one clip of Inter calmly playing it out from the back against Barca in the CL than I should have been, last season had it's ups and plenty of downs but the culmination papered over a lot of that.

This season has seen not only a lack of progression but actually regression in many areas, and I firmly believe we are in a false position in the league relative to our actual performances. I'm now happy to see him leave, although concerned with what happens next, as being honest it feels like anything good that has happened at Spurs over the last 20+ years has come about almost by accident rather than intention. I have no faith in our leadership making a good choice, more likely a lazy, uninspired, easy option.

Now that I'm done rambling, I the bolded part of your post is harsh. I don't think he's a total fraud, I think he is massively unsuited to this club, he realised he was fighting a lost cause and coupled with a series of difficult events in his personal life he at some point began to just phone it in and take the money. But I'm pretty sure he will have a break, go elsewhere, and win stuff.
