Villa and Emery are where they are because of incredible home form in the first half of the season. Just like we are where we are because of our incredible start.
Both teams have underperformed this season relative to their peak form. But both teams are exactly where they belong based on the season.
Who cares if he's Chelsea through and through? We need good players and he's homegrown so that counts for extra. We didn't dither Kulusevski because he wanted to play for Woolwich at one time did we? If a player is open to the move we should definitely go for it.
I stated no one other than Ramos has a worse record over 10 games, which is correct. All other managers that have had poor runs similar to this have been sacked either directly or soon after and that was my point about lack of scrutiny. I dont want him sacked but for all the bluster he needs to start winning games early next season or he'll go the same way as the names mentioned.
2 ppg would be great, its a shame we cant play relegated teams every week.
Players will be much on the scouting and whether Levy gets the clubs cheque book out than Ange. A well run club it should be irrelevant if the manager is a good scout, that isn’t his job.
True but we know of plenty of examples where managers have really liked a player and that plays a big role in whether they were brought in.

It was entirely foreseeable that the focus would shift to the extraordinary spectacle of a team's fans supporting the opposition.

Obviously a lot more complex but how I see it is the scouts, DoF and Paratici get a list of the requirements, find 3-5 ish players who fit, see who is feasible then present it to Ange. He might then get a selection of 2-3 who are feasible and he has input into that. Either way the fundamental suitability is down to Lange/Paratici. I am just paraphrasing something I read in an article on club scouting but the manager is only a part of this process.

Funny that you bring up Kulu - because Gallagher is not good enuf - just like Kulu. The fact that he's a true blue chav cunt is secondary. Makes him less appealing but it's not the main issue.

All you hear on here is the set piece issues, the lack of plan B, the lack of adapting, his substitutes, playing certain players etc. etc.

Hopefully we also aren't playing Woolwich, Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool in a 2 week period too often either.
When we beat Sheff Utd though, we'd have gained 47 points from a possible 60 from the teams in the bottom half of the table. Which isn't all that bad.
Weve also taken 8 points from the teams above us. Which is the second most any club has managed this season.
Something to work on for sure. Let's hope with the right recruitment we can further improve those results and kick on.
Because generally managers are judged on the most recent results. Plenty were rightly getting excited after our first 10 so surely the same rules apply? Perhaps more so at the business end of a season.

I've chosen to forget about the City match now and all the drama around it. We tried to win and lost as expected.
Just beat woeful Sheffield and ensure 5th place. I really don't want to see Chelsea overtake us.
Not sure if 6th place is good enough because I think in the unlikely event that United beat City in the FA Cup 6th place will be playing Europa Conference League.

I don't care who he supports. These guys are pros who play for themselves rather than who they have previous alleigances too. It's been said so many times - Kenny Dlaglish, Celtic's best ever striker, was and is a mad keen Rangers fan. It was a joke in the dressing room after matches he's be waiting for their result and not because he wanted them to lose either. And btw the Old Firm rivalry is probably stronger than any other in club football, anywhere.
My concern is that Gallagher's position is one that we;re relatively strong in. Other areas need the budget, not his one.
