Personally i dont give a toss what other people think. Football bantz is just the worst and i avoid it at all costs. I can even live with the trophy thing if we're really competitive. I loved the majority of the Redknapp and Poch tenures. 86/7 under Pleat when we won cock all was one of my favourite seasons.I personally think that a chunk of our fanbase are too wound up on the trophy drought and fear being ridiculed by fans of other teams. Being perceived as losers is like an albatros over people's heads and it causes people to lash out. That combined with this being the era of instant gratification means that patience is always going to be slim. Positives are forgotten in an instant and bad results remembered forever.
This isn't to say that Ange doesn't have to adapt. He has to, the PL is by far the highest level of league play that he has worked in. So adaptation is key. But yes, there is no patience because a loud group within the fanbase care too much about how they are perceived by other people and are desperate to win something.
I do care about losing 10 league games out of our last 20. Not being able to beat top 10 sides or win away, constantly looking like we'll concede and hovering around mid table.
I just dont get why Ange gets the slack that others did not. His record in the last 20 league games is now almost the same as Pochs in his last 20 and we were navigating a CL quarter and semi final in that time. Its worse than Jols last 20 league games, worse than Redknapps last 20, AVBs, bloody hell even Sherwoods.
