Makes me laugh when simps try to beat on Bournemouth.I'm not that into watching football outside of Spurs that I can really make such a claim tbh.
But on the face of it there are enough parallels with Poch coming in from Southampton that the idea appeals to me.
He has massively overachieved with Bournemouth for a prolonged period, a wobble at this stage of the season is entirely forgivable.
He seems to be at just the right period of his career to come to a club like us, on the up, and still young and enthusiastic enough to put his all into the task.
He's gotten the best out of a group of young players, and made a team more than the sum of it's parts. He has a system that the players seem to be well coached in and comfortable with. He's not just ground out results with boring hoofball.
So I think his style of football (Iraolaball???) is the kind that's suited to being transferred over to a bigger club, whereas I don't get the same feeling from someone like a Thomas Frank.
He's gettable, or at least certainly should be for us.
I'm not all out Iraola or nothing by any strecth, but to me he just seems so much like the obvious choice, as such I imagine Levy and co will cock up the search and we'll end up with something utterly ridiculous instead.
They barely have a right to be in the PL, yet they're 7 points off the CL places.
He's working miracles there. Their average PL finish is 14th in the 7 full seasons to date. That includes a relegation.
Their Average GD is -19
Their average points are 42
With 6 games to go this season they've already got 48 points - which is their joint best in a season. Also under Iraola.
They've also scored 52, 2 less than last season with 6 games to go. They've conceded 40 - their best by 21 goals so far.
He has improved them by every single metric available. The play better. They score more, they concede less, they get more points the lot.
It's possible we're actually underrating what a good job he's doing there, not overrating it.
