Exactly mate.

I’m not here to throw shade at Frank. He’s obviously an outstanding coach. But he situation isn’t good for him to come in right now. And tbh it’s not good for any of our reasonable targets imo.
Then it's fair to assume that our current situation is affecting the pool of managers available to us and it's also fair to assume that any manager willing to come in under these conditions won't be any better than Ange and may even make the situation worse.

It's already clear that a new manager will have an uphill battle to gain the support of the players. If Ange tries and fails next season, there will be a lot more support for a new manager which will make the job more appealing because the new manager won't have half the club thinking "What if we'd been true believers?". It's a lot better for a new manager if those people are thinking "We believed and it didn't happen. Time for something new."

I've wanted him out during the season, but if we sack him without at least giving him the first few games of next season, we'll be back to being the laughing stock we were before the EL win.
I disagree entirely with this.

If we keep Ange, I think it’s absolutely impossible to envisage any other scenario other than a Ramos 08/09 or ten Hag last season style start for us.

If we get off to a bad start in the league next season, the pressure on him will be be absolutely massive, something I don’t believe he will be able to handle.
Then say we sack him after 1/2 months. All of a sudden, we are back to square one. We have wasted yet another summer transfer window and we will likely have to appoint an interim or second/third/fourth choice option mid season, which would result in another wasted season. It’ll be another “rebuilt” “new project” starting mid season.

I was a big backer of Ange, but I think everyone deep down knows that it just hasn’t worked. The players haven’t fallen out with him or given up on him as a personal level, but it’s clear as day that they have lost faith in how he wants them to play.
He got us a Europa League and we will be forget grateful to him for that, but, again, lets be totally honest with ourselves, we won it by pure grit, determination and having the easiest run at the trophy arguably in the history of the competition. The way we played is not sustainable in a league or in the Champions League against serious sides.

I believe a club with competent leadership would have said thanks Ange but we have to part company a week after the final. We needed a decisive decision here, devoid of emotion.
But as always with Daniel Levy, we’re left in a perpetual state of limbo, dithering, posturing and mulling.

Is exactly what I’m saying.

It’s a bit cold and rational for some but it’s the most obvious conclusion to reach when you really think it through.

Winning the EL means he and his squad have to get a chance to see what happens next.

The league form points to it not going as well as we all hope but it’s not guaranteed to go wrong so you can’t leave those skeletons in the closet. Not if you want to build a winning culture from here on.

That doesn't mean he should stay when EVERYTHING is considered and weighed up ffs.

Our league form since his first ten games, nearly two seasons worth of evidence, is absolutely horrific.

As good as the cup was, a kind cup run shouldnt disguse all of that.

It's really not as simple as you portray it to be.

And not to mention some of his conduct
It actually is as simple as that. He delivered a result. A result that most of us were extremely happy to take at the seasons start. It’s a no brainer.

Lets be honest weve been consistently inconsistent since Chelsea home 2023. Think next week we will know whether Ange stays or not. If he does I will be gutted.

We have been buying up land for years. It’s nothing new.
Your email was full of good points and I agree with all of it … Except on the above, I respectfully disagree.

I think Levy is going to the next level on real estate spending - Land cost is a relatively small part of the cost of developing real estate particularly for high rise buildings.

Levy has just start construction on his first high rise (the hotel) - and is in the process of getting planning approvals for residential towers. So I think real estate spending is about to spike - It’s why the bald cunt is slashing the wage bill and said there will be limited future spend on transfers. He needs money for construction costs …unfortunately, this is something new.

You ever watched either of them coach a session behind closed doors?
Of course not, how would I?

However there’s plenty of evidence to base my conclusions on including the training video of Frank, Dier’s interview, their respective league positions, Ange’s own admission that he’s hands off and leaves it to the assistant coaches etc. etc.

If the manager is of a good enough quality IMHO it won’t take long to garner the respect of the players. I’ve worked for and alongside colleagues where I’ve thought ‘You couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery!’ and I’ve also worked alongside people where their outstanding ability is bloody obvious from the get go.

A few websites saying it with a “ Big “ name coming in

Will he be backed though
A big name you say?
