Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

A fair point but there’ll always be players who should be playing more but aren’t somewhere, and not necessarily at the biggest clubs. Fallouts with managers, systems they don’t suit, etc. It’s up to us to do our homework and identify who is attainable that can improve our side. Much easier said than done without a bottomless pit of gold but hopefully this is what Paratici can bring.
Parawanki is a one trick, throw as much shit as you can and hopefully some will stick merchant.

Conte's balance at the helm of the Spurs: 2 months in command, 6 Premier League matches, 16 points out of 18 available, 14 goals scored, 3 conceded. He inherited an 8th Tottenham, taking him to 5th place with 3 games less than the top four in the class. Call it the "Conte effect" 🇮🇹👔

Levy will do Paratici good with his steadfastness. After Marotta's departure, we saw Paratici (who has a flair for finding players) feeding Agnelli's megalomania. With Levy you will surely find a fair middle ground

Transfer Market
On the eve of this challenge Conte had said that Tottenham will need more than one transfer window to close the gap with the top 4. Despite the result, the game shown by the Londoners seems to prove him right. And after the match he returns to the office: «When I was hired I was told to see the situation and then we would sit and talk. Now the situation is clear to me, it will be necessary to evaluate where we are and where we would like to arrive in the future ». At the end of the game, the former Inter coach also tries to change the scheme: he sets aside the defense at 3 and goes to 4-2-3-1 with Moura (and then Gil), the newly entered Lo Celso and Son behind Kane. In the end, he has to thank a defender for the invaluable points.

‘You make qualification for Champions League in years, not in only two or three months or in only one transfer market. Football is not this way.

‘I think that in this moment there are important teams. It will be very difficult.

To get a place in the Champions League someone has to fail, but it must be a big failure. I think there are four big teams, they are the favourites in this moment.

‘Then there are other teams that try to build with important investment in this year to try to reduce this gap.

Meanwhile in the dressing room you can bet he will be telling the players the EXACT opposite.

He doesn't want to switch to 4-2-3-1, and he's working with Paratici to have a squad where he doesn't have to, but that was the only card he had to play today and he waited too late to play it. Lucky to get away with it.

How on earth can you attribute the win to 4231 when the goal cam from a set piece?

I'd call that the winner we deserved against Southampton. Swings and roundabouts.

We absolutely deserved to win BOTH.

I should have taken that bet. Looks like Dier, Winks, and Davies aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
Not being sold this January doesn’t mean they are exactly what Conte is looking for or that they fit his system perfectly

We’ve basically toiled and struggled against relegation fodder and milkmen since Conte took over despite grinding out good results.

A very good result against Liverpool who were pretty poor that day and had played 6 games in two weeks compared to our zero games, but we still bottled the big chances to win it.

Let’s see how confident you are after playing Chelsea three times and Woolwich in the next four weeks
