Highlights:

Mistake for the Cardiff goal but think he sees it late or expects the players in front to make contact.
Doesn't show his good block but shows his involvement in Plymouth's 3rd goal by winning the ball and starting the move (pretty good play from Whittaker too).
Devine's assist also there for Plymouth's first goal

Despite his mistake, Plymouth fans raving about him after today.

Not going to lie, he looks abit.... Clunky to me. Not particularly graceful on the ball or anything like say Van de Ven looks for comparison, who's the same height.

Man he’s 18. Plenty of yoots still growing and developing, he might be good he might be shit. Definitely wYyyyyy too early to lock him up as clunky imo - has a massive caveat

20 penalties in a row in training, isn't so easy when it matters though, even in front of only 100 people instead of 60k.
He's a young kid in the Academy of one of the biggest clubs in the world. He's joining by comparison a tiny club battling relegation, the oldest pros there are coming to the end of their careers, probably the foot end of the champo is the highest they've ever got. Best paid too. Their next jobs will be very poorly paid in comparison. They need to avoid relegation, get one last contract extension.

I wouldn't like to be the one to miss a pen or give away a goal and you end up losing.

Not sure it's something he can really change. Just his body type. That's all.

Not particularly a bad thing. Just not too pleasing on the eye. If he turns out great it doesn't really matter

Van Dijk to me looks a bit wooden and clunky unlike the graceful Romero or Vertoghen. Long as Philips can control the ball and pass it well he will do fine, obviously if he doesn’t then that seriously limits his potential as all CB’s need to be good on the ball to become elite.

It is something that changes at a young age
