I won’t fault his defending, lots of times he’s hung out to dry from his teammates (mostly Son) not being able to probably mark their man.

That said, he’s awful going forward, ball on Davies feet in the opponents half results in a misplaced pass or a cross hitting the first/second man.

Ben was straight up bad today, especially for the second goal, but Son's "defense" was fucking miserable. He left him high and dry time and time again.

Yeah, where the hell did that shot come from? I thought he was okay but Pepe gave him a lot of trouble. Was worried for the second half with him being on a yellow but the scum didn't really exploit either of our booked full-backs.

This seems to be about the best we could ever expect out of Davies to day and it resulted in a 6/10 performance with a big defensive miscue that could have led to a goal.

That is my biggest issue with him at his best we are lucky to get a 6/10 performance and that isn't good enough.

I dont mind Davies but everyone should realise this is it with Mourinho. Davies, Dier, Hojbjerg are the sort of player he loves. Fairly dull, workmanlike players with 2 pacy wideman and a classical no 9. Dont expect any sexy signings.

I guess he would love to pick Ruben Dias or Skriniar and Partey over average players like Dier and Hojbjerg, but what can you do if you are on a tight budget?

Digne was and is magnificent... meanwhile mr Davies is assisting the opposition and giving away fouls all day.

Digne is a superb full back. Steve Hitchins probably run out of credit that transfer window and did not top up in time to offer £2 million a year over 9 years + add ons to buy him. Guy cost £18m what the fuck do Spurs recruitment team do 9 months of the year ?

Hasn’t been said enough but we needed a new LB Just as much as a new RB. But Mou likes Davies because he guarantees a 6/10 every match and slots into the defense to prevent. Problem is he’s always been lousy at 1v1 defending and offers fuckall in attack.
Better LBs are available and getting moved around in the market and we’re stuck with him for another season it seems.

I've said before that we needed more a left back then a right back. Davies offers nothing and Rose was right of questioning Mourinho's favouritism.

We didn't line up with our usual defeatist pseudo 3 at the back with 2 holding midfielders but Davies & Doherty was always further up.

Although honestly - Doherty was far worse than Davies tonight. Far far worse.

I think Doherty is a shocking signing but will reserve proper judgment until he's had a run.

There’s no ‘3 agrees’ for your three points but, yep. I hope he’s going to be more attacking, but the formation / opposition is most likely the reason.
