Rangnick is like Bielsa. His ideas have inspired other great managers, and he clearly has an excellent grasp of the theory side of things. But a a coach himself his record is not extraordinary, so his biggest achievement is inspiring others to make it at the top level. And in all honesty Bielsa comes across as the more inspiring, motivational manager, even if he doesn’t have much silverware.
As a DoF directing policy Rangnick could be a success. As a manager though he looks like someone who has ideas but isn’t implementing them well. He’s also very stubbornly set on a 4-2-2-2 system which doesn’t suit their players at all on paper, which is bizarre.
