They’ve had a good start, like us, the difference is they have Europe coming and we don’t. Europe will cost them a lot of points as they have zero strength in depth - who do they have that can rotate with Paqueta, JWP, Zouma, Bowen - I’d argue Antonio as well as Ings looks lost these days.

Don’t get me wrong, we would struggle without Romero, Udogie, Sarr (can’t believe I’m saying that), Biss, Maddison - the difference of course is we don’t have to travel all over Europe the next 3 months.

Also, this might be unpopular, but that West Ham away kit is very nice, probably the best I have seen from them ever. I will go and bleach myself now
 
The last time I watched west ham was in their European final.. which they won but tbh I thought they were shocking, could barely string 2 pass's together, defenders just hoofing it clear, persistently fouling, time wasting, dropping the whole team deep, absolutely horrible to watch.. I stop short of embarrassment, but not by much, watched most of yesterday's game Nothing much has changed.. tell a lie they were better yesterday .. but not by much..
 
They were singing “ champions of Europe you’ll never sing that!” at the Brighton fans….
Maybe I’m being pedantic but I thought only champions league or (the European cup) winners could sing that.
Not the Europa or farmers league.

Yep it would mean we can sing it 3 times for winning the much bigger competitions of UEFA Cup and Cup Winners Cup not the tin pot conference.

In reality champions of Europe generally means Winning the European Cup/Champions League.

I think they’re aware of that fact.

It gets a rise out of opposition fans though and quite successfully based on this thread
