Player Dominic Solanke

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Watch it again it isnt a dogshit pass at all.
it is, its too ahead of solanke. youll see plenty more of this from udogie, hes not a good footballer.

watch solanke, as soon as he sees the pass is shit he tries to speed up to get there.

udogie goes so wide that it actually helps casemiro who is labouring to get back, hes never catching up. udogie could be going straight on there he doesnt have to worry about a 33 year old casemiro, going wide makes the pass harder for himself too if you wanna nit pick, even still a proper footballer can execute that pass fairly easy, hes put too much on it and its too far ahead.

it could have been a 2 on one, but going so wide he allows casemiro to actually close the gap. its poor from udogie on 3 occasions in just that one piece of play. original pass he hits fucking bruno, then his run takes him wide when he doesnt need to and then his poor pass.

I was thinking its an absolute madness leaving Solanke out for Toney.

But then I realised Henderson is in the squad ahead of Wharton and realised the squad is a joke and I'm not going to let it bother me.

Deuterz Deuterz Are you still a big Tuchel fan? Seems like some odd selections!

Why? Toney is a better player.

I'll come back to the point that has to be the obvious one: how many sitters does he miss? How many chances do we create for him?

He messed up the pass from Udogie which I'd have bet the house on to have scored from with a better first touch. No other criticisms on the night.

And btw goals scored have not been the issue this season. We've scored loads.

I wuldnt pick now, not because he's not good enough but he needs the Summer to recover. He'd be half dead on the pitch, like Kane was a lot of the time during Summers. I really think Tuchels thinking is along those lines.

We’ve only scored 10 goals in the last 11 EPL matches which is horrendous. Battering cannon fodder is great and all but it can distort your stats. You need consistency across the season and we’ve not had that whether it be in attack or defence. We’ve currently no clinical finishers in the team which is a real problem.

15 goals and 8 assists in 44 apps.
Massive, massive success for us in his first season.

That's low.
His Pl stats are very low.
Mins per goals and assists he is easily in bottom third in the PL - and tbh that is exactly what he is at best a mediocre pl front three player.

West Ham would be the right sort of club and even then - he would not be a nailed on starter.

How much would we get for him now?
£20 m would be great

His overall stats are excellent.
We haven't been very good in the EPL this season.
He/we will be much better next season.

We don't even know if he touched the ball - the skill level required for that shot is zero.

He was there - and is a body

In what way are his overall stats excellent ? He is in the bottom 3rd for goals and assists?
Just saying it is excellent does not make it so.
He works hard off the ball- so much so that when he gets a chance to run through he is too knackered.
Writing this has made me change my mind - I want Ange out. His idea of a good front player is anti Spurs and how he makes them play is as well.

He has 15 goals and 8 assists in 44 apps. A G/A more than 1 in every 2 games.
If you don't think that is excellent I will let you get on with it.

PL is way below average.
EL against minows early rounds is one one thing.

These are his stats - they are worst than I thought : shooting accuracy of 36% throughout his career - and most are from close range.
He has performed to his long term average - maybe little better.

These are Tottenham stats across all competitions for the season

23 (11G, 12A) - Heung Min Son
23 (12G, 11A) - James Maddison
23 (10G, 13A) - Dejan Kulusevski
23 ( 15G, 8A) - Dominic Solanke
22 (18 G 4A) - Brennan Johnson

Football is a team game - something which some people overlook) so Solanke's hold up play and sheer hard work off he ball creates the conditions for others to score.

The above stats are the reason why Spurs are one of top 6 goalscorers in PL as well as helping win EL. And Solanke has certainly played his part in that.
