After the super league and the mass fan protests levy out were the majority by far.
None of it matters though. He owns the bloody club.
Spend more time with family. friends, pets anything rather than spending time debating this.
You’re all mental. It really really doesn’t matter.
Just be happy you’re alive.

Great post Bernard. 👏

A lot of Levy enthusiasts should take note and remember it's the club we're all meant to be supporting. And the team we're supposed to love.

Not the blimmin' owners.

Maybe better in the happy I’m alive thread , this thread is literally here to debate Levy / ENIC
Wow what a bellend I am , my very next post is about Scargill and the miners strike and I pulled you up for being off topic
Sorry mate @ Bernard matthews for being a knob , don’t know how to link a thread properly to include your message and my twat reply

Bit pissed Baz have you confused threads or did I , quite possibly me had a couple of heavy days .
Anyway in the Levy out thread , at the risk of derailing things .Scargill was right about the mining industry, being dismantled, massively wrong in how he went about defending it though . The truth is the industry was dying and he was a militant , unpleasant King Canute .He was also strategically a bit of a plank , he picked a fight with a deeply unpleasant PM who was spoiling for a fight out of revenge, the knob walked straight on to an upper cut

However I feel huge sympathy for the mining communities that bitch Thatcher and her henchmen dumped on , wicked fuckers

And I know how the miners felt because the bitch did exactly the same thing to the Steel industry before where I worked putting thousands of us out of a job

Therefore I was a regular on the picket lines supporting the miners who are the salt of the earth but it was lions led by donkeys

Of course Scargill was right but he allowed himself to be provoked into calling a strike in the worst month of the year in late February with the worst of the winter nearly over and the summer ahead

The years before this after she was elected the industry built up it’s stocks of coal importing most of it from far afield
I had joined the Merchant Navy as an engineer after being made redundant and the run for the bulk carrier I was on was from Durban SA to Dunkirk Fr

Thatcher was determined to bring the NUM down whatever it took and Scargill played right into her hands!!
What aggravated it was him not calling for ballot so it was never a unified strike and doomed to failure despite thousands of pickets trying to help

I very nearly got knicked at Orgreave coking plant after getting knocked over by a horse!!

Absolute chaos and Old Bill and us battled all day but we had no chance really

ps the Scargill remark was just a joke and I withdraw it if it causes offence

Yes we’ve really gone off thread so apologies for that
Very emotive subject for me

Baz you and I might bate each other , don’t think we offend each other though , hope not anyway . Politically we are normally miles apart , agree with every word of the above , seems a bit strange I must admit
As a champagne socialist as I mockingly call myself, as Romanzo loves to remind me , another guy I agree on very little with but enjoy sparring with , I want to say

👏👏👏👏 I have never been on a picket line , probably makes me a fraud , but that was brave and scary . Easy to be a comfortably off socialist

Great line in a Phil Ochs song , I’ll send all the money you ask for , but don’t ask me to come on along

Not sure I will ever debate with you in the same way after the above , think I might have pegged you wrong

No problems mate

TBH I always voted Labour up until I found out what Blair had done
That finished me although I detested Cameron and voted Miliband
Then Jezza came and made Labour unelectable and I honestly don’t think that Starmer has it in him
Totally uninspiring and needs to go before the next GE

Maybe a female leader?

Nandy
Rayner
Reeves?

I honestly don’t think Boris will lead the Tories at the next GE either

He’ll win the VONC easily but the damage has been done and like Thatcher when the Tories used the. ‘stalking horse’ (can’t think of his name!) against her in a similar vote enough Tories didn’t vote for her and she was damaged

Say what you like about the Tories and I’ve said plenty over the years (I’m old enough to remember Heath ffs) they are completely ruthless when it comes to winning elections so Boris is on borrowed time!

Interesting who might replace him as that shower in the cabinet make me laugh!

Rishi tarnished now so Penny Mordant a lively outsider imv

Let’s do politics in the politics thread , before someone tells us to fuck off and get a room

Well i could mention Modric or the Lyon president

However let‘s keep it simple the ultimate pro Kane felt sufficiently aggrieved he downed tools . Kane is hardly Scargill

More than likely Kane's brother told him that Levy said that to save face for making Harry sign another contract, then realising that he couldn't get out of it without looking like a dick.

Don’t need a lesson on maturity from you , but thanks for trying out as the arbiter of the forum, I doubt you will get the gig

Spurs paid £27m for Bergwijn in 2020 and sold him for £25m in 2022

He is young, 24 y.o

Please don't tell me that's good business

Properties in London went up by well over 15% in that period

Player price inflation is much higher than that

Levy has lost it in the spread sheet. N'dombele, Locelso, Janssen, Njie, Nkoudu, Foyth, Serge and many more.

In Serge's case, £23m or so in the bin, too bad.

How about the compensations paid to Poch, Jose and Nuno!

How much is this guy costing the club? Any where else, he would have been shown the door by now.

Still no trophy.

Seems Conte is the best thing happened to Spurs, he can twist levy/enic with one finger.

Time for trophies, starting this season, any will do...

B.......B........But he only sells players for inflated fees as he's only interested in profits.
