Ex-Spurs Player Eric Dier

Defended him when he stormed up the stands a few years ago but he clearly doesn't give a fuck and a fraud of a football player. Another that needs to be removed from the changing room asap
 
Dier has slipped in his ratings but only recently. He has achieved creditable ratings from 2020 until mid season this year when he dips below 6 which is too low. He rated our best player last season on 6.65 with Romero second on 6.58.

im not sure this is the case. i think its more a case of hes simply no fucking good, theres nothing to switch off. hes been a donkey from day 1, he looks lost on a pitch when it comes to high pressure moments where your brain needs to be clear and sharp, like the walcott goal. a proper footballer realises thats his man and blocks the path of the ball getting to him, not going to get on the line. this is not switching off this is just a player thats fucking thick and doesnt get the game.

and yet he has been a regular starter under 4 managers all of whom have won trophies for the clubs they managed

donkey bollox is majorly at fault, as the balls coming in hes closest to walcott so thats his fucking man, you dont leave a man free to get on the line behind a keeper its fucking beyond dumb. the blokes just a fucking thick cunt of a footballer.

kanes actually done the right thing, walcott is behind him and hes watching the cross and then covering the line as thats the natural thing to do especially with his momentum going back towards goal anyway. dier can fucking see walcott as hes fucking in front of him as they are watching the cross come in! for him to leave him to take the coward option of going on the line is a fucking football sin and guess what its cost us 2 fucking points!

He's been a great servant to the club and every Spurs fans owes him a debt of gratitude.

EDIT: Sorry thought this was the Harry Kane thread. In regards to Dier he's a brain dead worm who should have been binned years ago.

I always used to like Dier. Thought he did really well in our 3 good seasons under Poch and he just seems like a decent bloke. But since his illness in 2018 he's been struggling. He had a good spell initially under Conte but thats been it for 5 years.

I thought it might be worth keeping him for the last year of his contract but enoughs enough. He just switches off way too much, isnt mobile and like Hojbjerg is now part of the problem. We have to get away from these average players that have been mainstays for the last 3 seasons.

this makes you a moron. this is what a typical little no nothing gimp would say. in your tiny little mind eric dier cant be criticized because he somehow gets the nod from idiots misjudging him. guess what you little fool? not every footballer is competent. some are punching well above their weight, some fans see it quicker than people actually getting paid to give their judgement. i know that might blow your tiny little mind because you look up to these people, but its a cold hard fact.

There are some massive chumps on here who don't deal easily with set backs, need to find a target to satisfy their soul for revenge, and to demonstrate their ignorance by blaming everything on, even when they were not to blame.

Whilst he's not alone for our lack of progression, of course (I haven't read most of the posts above) but almost 9 seasons with us and still one of the first names on the team sheet. Was good for the first 3-4 seasons or so but he is part-symptomatic of why we haven't progressed. Too average, too comfortable and I also think most utility players suffer from being a jack of all trade. I would rather specialist players in their own position but I guess managers like someone who can play in 2 or 3 different areas of the pitch. He was never quite good enough for our midfield, and not good enough as a defender, imo.
