I'm not happy but i did say i didn't want us to play in the competition. Mainly because i knew we would get embarassed like this.
This bunch of players couldn't give a fuck about the ECL, they won't even bother taking it seriously and nobody at the club has the will to force them to do that. It was always going to be a car crash waiting to happen.
BTW we're not out but even if we scrape through the group, what do you think will happen in the knockout stages? We all know the answer to that..
The thing is they didn't give a shit about the EL last season either... They think they're above it, but the Chavs, Arse & United (who have all reached the final in recent seasons) apparently weren't above it.
For the life of me; I don't know where this shitty attitude comes from..... Does this all trickle back to Poch's "only the biggest prizes matter" mantra?

As much as this comment is deserved, it's disturbing how much its been said over the past few months.
It's such low quality nonsense, not worthy of anyone's time.
The fact is they are not the united group they were a few seasons ago. Our squad size has gone up but the quality has gone down. I did not see one player in that starting 11 tonight that would of got into our first team three or four seasons ago. The fact is the regression in Dele of the last few years is scary. The fact is we have spent 400 m since getting to the Champions League final but our squad has got worse. The worse thing I have seen is we spent at least 50m plus wages on Rodon, Clarke and Sessingon but I have never seen Clarke play and I do not think there is a player there in Rodon or Sess. What the heck have we done with the money I do not think it has been spent well at all I just do not really rate anyone we signed after getting to the CL finals as a top quality player. I would say that no player we have signed since getting to the champions league final has even reached Trippiers level of ability.
Whether they respect the competition or not, the fringe players should be enjoying the first team football and playing for their places or at least putting themselves in the shop window. Really starting to dislike these arseholes.
Imagine seeing the guys you used to play against in the CL continue to thrive in that competition and the supposedly (man for man) inferior spammers working their way through the EL and you get sack tapped by the lowest rated team in the lowest rated European competition. There's shame and then there's shame.
So for me, it's worse because we didn't learn our lesson at Zagreb and our players couldn't put in the effort for one of the best managers on the planet and us, the fans (yet again).

You should just love playing football surely. Some of them really look like actually playing the game is a chore for them. Most people would give their left arm to be out there getting paid millions to play a game they would probably play for free.

Mura is the worst team in the group. Of course we have to beat the worst team in the group and we did beat them with Nuno.
It was a bad one. Pretty bad. But not the worst for me. In context, the new boss has only just arrived and we have been dogshit a lot this season. We're not out of the cup and we did go down to 10 men. January is coming and we didn't play our first eleven. Lots of factors that, at least give it a chance of being less bad than Zagreb. Plus, Kane played ok, which is better than he was playing before... And .... maybe.... hopefully.... it's a wakeup call for everybody, including the manager and Levy and the players... maybe a bit of reworking and some time, then things can improve.
I really don't buy this. I don't believe the players don't give a shit about this or didn't give a shit about the Europa. We have been a deteriorating team for 3-4 years, that deterioration has seen us perform badly in the league, which has seen us drop from CL to Europa, worse in league to Europa Conf, hardly surprising we are performing badly in those tournaments - especially when we are doing what most top6 teams do and rotating in the early stages.
And I don't think this is a fair stick to beat Poch with. Poch pretty much just dealt with cups the way any coach of a top side deals with cups. We got to semis, two finals. We didn't win a cup because ultimately he and the team weren't good enough on the day(s).
As far as tonight's game goes, we started badly, but as soon as they scored and kicked us up the arse you couldn't say we didn't try hard, even with ten men we pretty much dominated the game, we're just not very good.
This is why I have been wanting the youth players to play.
Markanday, John, White all should be playing as part of the rotation.
Sanchez was atrocious for both goals, but what the fuck was Rodon doing for that first goal? He's just standing in the middle of nowhere, not marking or closing anyone down.
