Hart
Doherty-Toby-Sanchez-Davies
Lo Celso-Winks
Bale-Dele-Lamela
Vinny

With five subs and twelve players on the bench Mou can really gets some minutes into people's legs.

Makes predicting the line up pretty much impossible.

And with the next match against Burnley being on Monday, plenty of recovery time, so a relatively strong side v LASK makes more sense to ensure we get the first 3 points on the board at group stage.

The next EL match on Thursday after a Monday match will be far easier to predict as most of players on Monday won't play in that match - in turn meaning every chance the likes of Vinicius giving a run out this Thursday, but not necessarily starting.

Hart
Doherty Sanchez, Davies, Reguillon
Hojbjerg, Lo Celso
Bale, Dele, Bergwijn
Kane,
Subs all things going well :
Vinicius for Kane
White for Hojbjerg
Moura for Bale

Think we are allowed to bring on 5 subs provided there are only 3 stoppages of play. So we will probably make another couple of subs

I guess you're close but if Dele is fit I think he starts for Bergwijn.

Forgot about Dele again.

I think in that case he may actually go with 4231 with Lo Celso and one of Sissoko and Winks and Dele behind Vinicius.

Thought it might be useful to refresh people's memories on substitutes in EL

Five substitutes
From this stage onwards, teams will be permitted to field up to five substitutes in a Europa League match and name 12 substitutes on the bench. For knockout matches, a sixth substitution can also be made during extra time.

Each team may use a maximum of three stoppages in play to make substitutions – one additional stoppage in extra-time can be used. Substitutions made during half-time, between the end of normal playing time and extra-time, and at half-time during extra-time do not reduce the number of stoppages in play that can be used.

Odd that you should cut the explanation short...

This shall only apply on even-numbered days of the month. On odd-numbered days the reverse shall be applicable.

And later...

Players with more vowels in their surname than consonants shall enter the field of play with their left foot. Those with more consonants should enter with their right foot first. In the event of the surname having vowel-consonant parity, the player should bunny jump onto the pitch.

I dont think we should start Kane and Son, if as a squad we are relying on them to win tomorrow then something has gone seriously wrong, whats the point in having another striker if he isnt used in games like this? He will just end up going rusty on the bench and when Kane gets injured will take to long to get up to speed, let's start Vinnie tomorrow and see what he is all about.

Are these 5 subs all the way through till the final? We could literally change our whole front 3 and bring on Bale, Kane and Son at half time and still have 2 subs left to make, could make the KO stages (if we get there) very interesting!

Putting this here for want of a better place. We need to get back and hammer these twats good and proper. Lets win this cup and the win the champions league. F***king mug

The teams could have met in the 2019 final, of course, had Ajax not succumbed to Lucas Moura’s 96th‑minute winner for Tottenham in the semi-final second leg in Amsterdam. “It would have been nice to play against them in the final,” their captain, the former Southampton forward Dusan Tadic, reflected. “We would have had a larger chance than Tottenham that’s for sure.”

I think Kane and Son will on the bench. Vinicius, Lucas and Bale to start.

They aren't going to be pushovers. Talk of battering is way off in my eyes.
