Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This wil include the high wages we have been able to get off our books since then though, most notably Eric Dier and Hugo Lloris, along with Harry and Perisic.

4 of our biggest earners knocked off that number will probably see us move back to paying less than that lot do in the next set of financial results I'm assuming.
Not sure, think Shady is due a massive payrise.

But we lose the benefit of 'Tottenham Hotspur Stadium' being broadcast to millions of people worldwide for NFL, rugby, boxing plus Spurs matches - and that translates into higher sponsorship deals, more music concerts etc.

There are plenty of expert marketing forms who will do the match and work out whether £20m pa is worthwhile or whether not taking up a naming rights deal and having 'Tottenham Hotspur stadium ' mentioned on broadcasts with higher other revenue streams is worthwhile - and the fact a naming rights deal has not been done suggests its not particularly advantageous
You're talking like the naming of the stadium can't be synonymous with the club though.

The Etihad, The Emirates, Allianz Arena, Spotify Camp Nou. Everyone knows what teams play there.

I think they simply failed to find rights for the money they were asking for.

Perfectly possible and in which case those demanding the £20m pa, are venting over something which doesn't exist.

The stadiums named Etihad etc are named that way very simply because Etihad etc want the publicity generated when the name of the stadium is mentioned - so you've proved the point that those companies believe the name of the stadium has a value. And by mentioning Etihad rather than ManCity, Mancity is missing out on part of the publicity ...... even though many people know Mancity play there.

Tottenham Hotspur stadium being named that way means Spurs are not 'sharing' the name recognition with any third party company (eg Apple) and keeping 100% of the value of TH stadium being mentioned.

Nope, already been explained in this thread.
That's just buying the Levy justification for his failure to do what he said he was going to do.

The longer it's gone on, the larger the loss is, at which point one (Levy) has to claim there is actually a net benefit to his strategy after all. You didn't expect him to admit he's fucked up on commercials? Just that no other sports team with a major new stadium sees it that way eh Daniel ...

He's right and everyone else is wrong yet again?

He set the price too high, as he always does.

Do you have any evidence of this or are you just speculating and talking out of your behind?

What evidence would I need? It's a matter of public record that Levy originally made comments re the intention to sell the stadium naming rights. Various members of Tottenham management team have, over the years, commented on the work underway to do just that.

Are you denying Tottenham have not been trying to sell the naming rights? (they may or may not still be - everyone has their price).

The amounts Levy was seeking were widely reported. Correctly or not. In any event, do you think his behaviour on pretty much all player transfers is indicative of a man who overvalues his assets or not?
