Real Betis is presently 6th place in La Liga.

Europa Conference League... it's FAN-TAS-TIC.

Which means they'd be about 8th in the Prem if they're lucky .. which is Gio's level, a good player for a mid-table club or one of Argentina's many trier's in midfield who sort of just give the ball to Leo. That's all he is.

& that's when he cares.

You might be underestimating Spanish football's strong CL + EL pedigree a bit.

Meh. Been good in the past, well behind England in coefficient rankings lately. Being propped up by Madrid at the moment, 3/4 of their teams didn't even make it past the CL groups.

They definitely wouldn't be ahead of us, Woolwich, Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, Newcastle or United.

I'd almost call it Spanish dominance...

It was. It isn't anymore. When they were dominating, La Liga was miles ahead on co-efficient points, they're now second.

La Liga's fallen off a cliff in terms of quality in the last 3-4 years, only Madrid are preventing them sliding even further down the coefficient rankings.

As I understand it, it's a Farmer's League due to it not being the Premier League

Who said farmers league?

It's a good league. It's also the weakest its been in years & obviously not as strong as the Prem, is that controversial? 3/4 of the top teams can't even get out of their champions league groups.

3 of the last 5 EL champs have been DIFFERENT Spanish clubs, and don't include Real OR Barça.

Looking at the CL final teams shows how good one or two clubs are… it doesn’t show how good a league is. If you took Barcelona and Real Madrid and plopped them in the Scottish premiership that wouldn’t make the other teams in Scotland better by association.

Not to mention who won the CL 10 years ago is completely irrelevant to how good that club is at this moment.

Caveat being that anyone toiling at that level of the EPL table could easily trickle even lower if their MFs haven't got a bit of bollocks about them.......

The ghost job he did in some of our early EL & ECL games was tragic.
