You might be underestimating Spanish football's strong CL + EL pedigree a bit.Which means they'd be about 8th in the Prem if they're lucky .. which is Gio's level, a good player for a mid-table club or one of Argentina's many trier's in midfield who sort of just give the ball to Leo. That's all he is.
& that's when he cares.
Whose life? Did Betis win it....think Mecurial may have you tapped.

Meh. Been good in the past, well behind England in coefficient rankings lately. Being propped up by Madrid at the moment, 3/4 of their teams didn't even make it past the CL groups.
They definitely wouldn't be ahead of us, Woolwich, Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, Newcastle or United.

I'd almost call it Spanish dominance...

3 of the last 5 EL champs have been DIFFERENT Spanish clubs, and don't include Real OR Barça.It was. It isn't anymore. When they were dominating, La Liga was miles ahead on co-efficient points, they're now second.
La Liga's fallen off a cliff in terms of quality in the last 3-4 years, only Madrid are preventing them sliding even further down the coefficient rankings.

Ohhhhh nooooo not the tinpot cup that English clubs treat as a sideshow and the likes of Villareal & Betis treat like the world cup.
Historically sure, but not lately. You might be underestimating Spanish football's strong CL + EL pedigree a bit.
Looking at the CL final teams shows how good one or two clubs are… it doesn’t show how good a league is. If you took Barcelona and Real Madrid and plopped them in the Scottish premiership that wouldn’t make the other teams in Scotland better by association.

ELO. More like ELOL.Historically sure, but not lately.
Football Elo has them as the 4th best in la liga (barely ahead of Villarreal) which is at crystal palace, west ham, Leicester level… slightly behind Brighton.
