He was nervous and he let their guy pass him for their only chance but he was OK.
Confidence is more important than ability IMO so he has to believe he deserves a starting slot for THFC.

Maybe, but preferably just a bit of muscle, although think he's doing that naturally at age 20,
Didn't look lightweight or pushed around in pre-season 2020 though, and Portsmouth fans forums. didn't comment on that last season

And just like Skipp, the England U18 international has enjoyed a successful – and professional – stint away from N17 as he made his mark at League One outfit Portsmouth last season, where manager Danny Cowley tipped him for big things in the future.
“Harvey is going to be a good player and got real maturity beyond his years. He’s a really intelligent footballer. He watches loads of football, understands it and gets it,” he told local reporters (via The News).
“You only have to tell him an instruction once. He’s like a sponge and you’ll tell him something once and then he’ll be doing it. He’s so easy to coach, a coach’s dream.
“He’s got a great attitude, good pitch coverage now we’re trying to get him used to the combative nature of the transitional game in League One he’s probably not used to in development football.”
Only 15 minute cameo, but clearly rated by Conte, and back to where he began 4 years ago in a pre-season at Spurs - playing as a LWB rather than his best position as CM.
Also used his experience to helped out inexperienced LCB, couple of decent crosses which could have become assists.
I think its probably best for his development to have a Championship loan, but it Conte thinks we need extra cover as a left sided midfielder (he has played as a left sided AM as well as CM, and at a pinch can cover LWB, and guarantees him decent playing time - maybe a dozen plus appearances and 4 or 5 starts) it could work for both club and player. Exquisite left foot able to put passes on a plate to others, decent shot, perhaps best set piece taker at Spurs so lots to work on ,
Yeah, was hoping for a Champo loan but maybe the clubs that offered couldn't ensure consistant playing time. Either way L1 is better for his development than staying and being at least 6th choice here!

If still there at the end of the season, Harvey has the chance of competing in the Playoffs, those matches add a little more stress/tension which will be good for Harvey to have, good preparation for Spurs big games .
Looks like he can take a freekick without hitting the wall, which is more than I can say for our senior players.
