Thank fuck for that.

Didn't see Stellini staying on, that's a strange turn.

Also journos didn't have a clue which is to be expected.

Yeah thought he would be gone with Conte too, a long wait again probably now for news on the new guy.

He doesnt benefit from resigning. But sacking him means he gets his money and we get to move on quickly. Its a win-win. So the decent thing would be to sack him.
It would be the pragmatic thing to do. Not the decent thing. As far as the club is concerned anyway. Maybe it's the decent thing to do from the fans perspective.

Wouldn't blame that on them, normally it's a given that the staff goes with the manager. Maybe the mutual consent was that Stellini takes over for the rest of the season? It was obvious that Conte didn't want to come back, and he couldn't come back after what he said towards the players, but saying that, he proved that he did care for the job when he came for the Leicester game.

The carrot of Nagelsmann must have been too much for Levy.

Anyway.....thanks Conte.......don't let the door hit your arse on the way out....

But also thank you Conte for speaking some home truths......let's see what the reaction is.

Was this the worst behaviour and rants from a Spurs manager or even from a PL manager ever?!

His behaviour was really childish weird and totally unnecessary. He had 2 months 9 games left, why didn't he shut his big mouth and leave respectfully?! What a d!ck.

Club Statement continued:

"Stellini and Mason will take charge for the remainder of the season because it turns out Bayern want a fee for Nagelsmann, and so I prefer to wait and watch him and Poch take the Chelsea and Madrid jobs before I get my powder damp and end up in a mad dash to bring in fat Frank 10 minutes before pre-season starts..."

:levywhoa:

He said some big truths that the club needed to hear. Sure, the part where he asked for time and patience was hypocritical since he wasn't going to sign a new contract, but apart from that he was spot on.
The top 4 run last season was unthinkable when he took over.

All in all, he leaves us in a much better position than when he found us, so I'll be thankful to him for that.
