Woke up this morning with immense pride. We are starting to get our Spurs back and credit to Tudor. Piece by piece he is fixing us. But we have to back it up this weekend now with a big performance. If we play poorly this weekend then its back to square 1 and the same questions arise where the team only show up when they feel like it.
Tudor has surprised me with his coaching. I thought he's just be an angry man who'd get our players fit and make them suffer, defend and try eek our results in a nasty way. Foolish I was. I've totally underestimated this man. He has us coached brilliantly. The press yesterday was fantastic. The way we changed formation multiple times in the last 2 games, in game adaption, fantastic. For the first time all season we don't look a disjointed team relying on all our players to win their 1v1 duals. We are now playing like a team in sync and united, and it shows! All of a sudden players like Tel and RKM who were so easy to nulify under Frank, are finding space and getting multiple opportunities. We are seeing Spence, Romero and Porro regularly joining in on attacks and providing overloads but its not disjointed because players like Gray and Sarr know to drop off. Its all in sync.
So Tudor has won me over but we need to see us back it up this weekend or the doubts will immediately come back. We might play very well and still not win. City couldn't beat Forest at home 2 weeks ago. They probably have better players than us in key positions. But the important thing is we play well and don't lose! If we play well and win then wow, Tudor is the man.
In terms of next season. Lets not get carried away. I still think the return of Poch is what the club needs. But for now we need to focus on winning games in the league (something we still haven't done in 2026 and this is our last game in March!!). One step at a time, but promising trends starting to develop and Tudor deserves immense credit.
