Dunno if that would be the plan, but a bit like Reggie and his release clause.... If either of them start playing well enough that any of the uber-clubs come circling it means we've had dome cracking performances out of them and stand to make a bunch of dosh into the bargain.

If we are being technical he is still just a B-team player. His contract is listed as part of Barcelona B rather than Barcelona proper.

One factor in this entire debacle is that he signed a new contract with Barca B in the summer of 2020, which already made him the highest paid ever player for the B team. And his agency now either wants him to get a new contract worth more money than some of the first team players, or for him to sit out his contract and go to Leipzig.

If he signs with us he will do so as a first team player however.
 
I guess the point of agents is to extract as much possible money from purchasing clubs regardless of what anybody thinks. If they cared about that they wouldn't become agents in the first place.

Seems like the kind of player the Chavs will buy and let rot on loan for a few seasons before really starting his career in Germany.

He'll likely get more minutes with us than anybody else seeing as Sissoko is gone, Ndombele never arrived, Gio blows hot and cold and we can't start Skipp and Pierre every match.

Which is why I half disagree with Sarr's loan-back, they should've pushed for Sarr to start playing at spurs this season and maybe send Winks to them on loan

Cheap doesn’t necessarily mean bad and expensive doesn’t necessarily mean good. So far all our expensive signings have been poor and our best ones have been cheap.

You’ve never even heard of Moriba or seen him play, you have no idea if he’s any good or not.

We need Winks for the HG quota, he isn't going anywhere until more academy players are integrated.
 
Looking doubtful now...I'm not sorry because his agents look as if they are bunch of cunts...if he turned out to be any way good you just know they'd be angling for another move as soon as possible...

Ilaix Moriba has decided he wants to play for RB Leipzig this/next (it's badly written in the original Spanish - BM) season. His agents told FC Barcelona this during their last meeting, confirming that the only solution they are considering is that he leaves for the Bundesliga despite the interest of Tottenham.

Ilaix's agents have a binding agreement with Leipzig and are not listening to new offers. The first bid that the Germans have made for the midfielder was six million euros, a long way short of what Barça are asking.

Despite his obvious talent I think we've dodged a bullet in terms of his advisers and family. It'll be interesting to see where his career is at in a couple of years.
