Yes I am still here even though I rarely post. Enjoying the great run of the Spurs in this ever-so-interesting PL, with the detestable Chelski out of the way, Ranieri taking his revenge on Mourinho, it's almost a dreamlike scenario.
Fiorentina have a shot at a CL spot so there's a share of fans who don't want us to go full strength on Thursday.

However we switched to 4231 only recently to fit Cristian Tello in the XI... But Tello cannot play in the EL (he played with Porto in the first half of the season) so maybe we'll go back to 3-4-2-1?

I'm a twat. I was absolutely convinced we were at the lane this week so booked Thursday and Friday from work. It was only when I saw a tweet from Ossie saying he was off to Florence with the team Wednesday that I realised i was wrong. So now ive had to book the 25th and 26th too!.

But surely you see that It's opinions like yours that perpetuate the downgrading of the cup competitions?
We have minimal control over the commercialisation of the sport, but we can control our own attitudes towards it. Tell the Shrewsbury Town supporters that the competition means nothing when Man U visit them next week?
Similarly, do you think the Leicester fans will be bothered that they are in the CL or the EL when they go on their first visit to the continent in 15 years?

It's funny to think that at the start of the season most people saw the Europa League as our only chance to get Champions League football next season. Now we're 10 points ahead of Horse Shit FC in 5th with 12 games remaining and it looks as though we're going to do it the old fashioned way.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to win the Europa League. Silverware is what football is all about and the Europa League is nothing to be sniffed at. If anything, the fact that the squad aren't going to think that the EL is their only chance of getting CL next season, the pressure might be lifted a bit and they'll perform better on the pitch.
Fiorentina are a useful side but we should pump them. If they weren't aware, we're not the team we were a year ago.

It is a question as old as time to Tottenham supporters wanting us knocked out of Europe. If the holy grail is Champions League, as so many seem to think then why in the fuck are the same twats wanting us knocked out of Europa League which is exactly the same setup just on different days?
