We're not an elite level Club such as Bayern, we've won our domestic League twice, the last time was almost 60yrs ago. We've only qualified to play in Europe's top competition six times, they've won it as many times from qualifying for it just the 36 times.

Let's not re-write history in order to bash Jose.

He left Chelsea because he wasn't getting playing time which is fair enough. But he didn't go to City. Didn't even go to PSG. He went to Wolfsburg. Nobody knew he was talented except for fans wanting to beat Jose with a stick 5 years down the track (not suggesting it is you btw).

I find it funny that the same kind of hindsight isn't applied the other way round. As in Jose got rid of KDB which finally unlocked the blue nazi's potential to win the league. Nobody ever says that because it's stupid and doesn't fit the media narrative.
 
If Mourinho gets his squad striker (eg Milik), and his CB (eg Skriniar), then - contra the ITK - he doesn't need a "midfield playmaker" to complete his "squad puzzle" when we have Ndombele & GLC.

To complete the puzzle he needs to make the correct decisions as to who to sell or loan.

And if we are going to buy a midfield player, get a proper DM 6, if a quality one becomes available at a club who need to sell.

I don't think Jose was at all at fault for Salah flopping at Chelsea (he was somewhat at fault for De Bruyne imo) but he did only play him 11 times in all competitions so he was going to leave if Mou stayed regardless.

Anyhow, if anyone remembers Salah's games from back in 2014 or whatever you'll remember that he was fucking shit.

The Sissoko sub against Everton basically cost us the match, but outside of that he's been pretty spot on.

Also helps that our talented players are getting match fit so he has better options at his disposal as well.
