Ex-Spurs Player Kyle Walker

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'll be disappointed if he goes but in May if you had offered me the option that he was the only player to leave this summer I would probaly have taken it. He's not irreplaceable; I would be 'broken arrow' if we were having this discussion about seven or eight other players. At the end of the day the club is bigger than any individual; he was (is) good, but he was still prone to brain farts. It's a shame he looks like going to a rival, but if his issue is proximity to ferrets and flat caps then we can't really sell him to the spaniards or bavarians, can we? All I want is assurance that the transfer fee will be reinvested in the playing squad, and not paying for the Cheese Room at NWHL.

Sheff Utd get a 10% sell on fee of anything over 3M......so 50M wont cut it Im afraid

:levystare:

50m was June price.... 60m rising to 70m in August.

....Run these cunts outta town, Daniel!

City not prepared to fork out? ....Maybe KW can subsidise the rest out of his mega pay rise IF money is genuinely not the motivator here.

Yeh, fucking right!!!! :roseunsure:

....Still can't fathom why City give a shit tbh... They fork out premium fees left right and centre to European/S.American clubs yet expect a relative bargain from a direct rival??? (Meanwhile selling academy randoms with no senior experience to PL newbies for a whopping £10m).

They're just taking the piss.... I hope Levy is appropriately offended by all this.

As much as the potential of this may hurt, I also firmly believe the only reason Kyle is as good as he is is because of the management team. Poch has a gift with full backs, he hasn't had one that people would say was bad under him yet most have been very sketchy before and after his management. I don't want him to go, I don't want any of the first team to go, but to pick one if I had to, it would be Kyle I think.

Pathetic if true. I'm still clinging to the hope that Levy would never sell the fans short by selling one of our top players to a direct rival.
Fuck this rinsing City bullshit. We should be keeping our best players. We're Spurs, not Southampton

IF we have to sell him then make it abroad not to those plastic cunts

Bet he misses a casual saturday night out in Sheffield city centre.

Fat chav tarts smoking long menthol fags, dressed as hookers, while their fellas are off their tits, banged up on MDMA in the Kingdom club off town hall square, hurling alcopop bottles off the balcony onto hapless dance floor crowds.

Can't beat the charm of the countryside.

It's a Win Win for City. If we cave they get the player they want – it's just a few more barrels to them. If he stays we potentially have a player who is really pissed off. Hate it, these clubs with huge funds never really have to worry about others unsettling their players. Before a ball has been kicked their wealth gains them another advantage.

Hate the money in football TBH, if there was less I might actually be able to afford a subscription to watch it! Also no other clubs would have increased their stadium capacity so there would have been no reason to extend ours. Don't get me wrong i'm excited at the prospect of having the best ground in the league but mostly due to the bragging rights... If there was less money in the game no others would be extending and we could have stayed put, pushed on and won everything on offer next season including the World Cup.

Not sure how it's a win win for City, if he goes it'll be close to world record fee Daniel will see to that, he knows the worth of his asset and how deep City's pockets are I read the conjecture of £50m where did that figure come from? We sell proverbial deadwood at about one and a half times the market rate. City would have to hand over a Bale type fee to get Walker.

As prev poster noted though, the disruption stretches beyond any transfer fee though...

We aren't actively looking to sell. KW is not "dead wood".

I'm not worried about this situation to be honest. We don't need to sell Walker.

However, IF Poch does decide to sell Walker it'll be on LEVY's terms and City will have to pay an absolute fortune. I can honestly see Walker going for around the £60m mark.

I wasn't referring to KW as deadwood that'd be absurd. I was pointing to the £50m fee quoted for one of our prized assets and the fact that we have sold deadwood for above market rate then if Kyle Walker were to leave the club would be in receipt of a near world record fee.

I thought only the reserves/fringe players turned up to be honest.

It was. That was the point of my post.

Was hoping no one looked into too much with the fact Walker wasn't there. Pretty sure the international guys got an extended rest. Probably back next week to get a week's preparation before the friendlies start abroad.
