I don't like Conte because he's a cunt who gas lit the fanbase into thinking that he was exposing the board for nothing other than the benefit of himself, the same man who put our club down at every given opportunity and didn't really want to be here, it's weird to me that fans act like he's some kind of hero just because he became a voice for them speaking out against the board even though the guy wasted our time and couldn't do his job properly.

If the loss to Fulham didn't stem from ENIC why did the same folk who usually wet themselves come back in here after the match, the threads been pretty much quiet since the Villa match, funny that.
He is a cunt and he played shit football. we agree on that.

But he told you direct from the horses mouth what any manager of our club has too contend with. The expectations/ambitions within the club. The way it directly filters down to the players.

He gave us the inside scoop but it is just an inconvenience to your wider narrative.

There is genuinely no inbetween with our fan base.

Beat Villa and it was "game in hand we're only 8 points off top, what's stopping us?"

Lose to Fulham and it's "Ange isn't the right guy, Conte was right, our team is shit"

We're 3/4's of a season into a huge rebuild, after losing our best ever player and rebuilding the team (that everyone was crying for) - If you were to be told we'd be 3 points off 4th, with a game in hand you'd have snapped their hand off.

It's going to be painful at times, just stop being so reactionary.

He was right in what he said but the timing was convenient so he could set fire to the place in order to get his pay out, the stupid selfish cunt.

If he had the club's best interests at heart he would have said what he said in a position at strength, not weakness as in the Summer before - he did that at Inter Milan and called out the board, a year later they won the league so why couldn't he do that here?

EDIT

It's deeper than that though.
Beat Villa and Ange is god.
Lose to Fulham and i's all the players fault.

Why are fans so blinded by Angelove that they can't seem to accept he's pulling the strings whether we win or lose. If they players aren't motivated, that's his fault as much as theirs. That is a coaches job as much as tactics.

I watched the Alasdair Gold video earlier and he said there are people in the fan base who seriously want him sacked. I’m convinced they are gooners. If not we have some utter morons roaming the streets. Scary.

Conte did effectively, rubber stamp what many of us had thought for years was the club's ambition levels.
We are all spurs fans so, we have to sit and wait and see what the future brings.
There has been some suggesting that, the club could put a challenge in next season.
Not sure that is true, but maybe in another couple of seasons time things might happen.

We're 1/4 of a century into a period of cycles where ENIC employ a manager, the manager doesn't get backed, the fans get angry, Levy sacks the manager, and the cycle of hope starts again. There is absolutely nothing to suggest this latest cycle will be any different from the ones preceding it.

And accusing Spurs fans, going through the longest trophy drought in the football club's history of being reactionary is downright patronising, insulting and pathetic

Woolwich are a bigger club than us with more player pull and history of success.
Before ENIC showed up we had a similar history of success as Woolwich. Our trophy records were not far apart. They'd won more domestic league titles,.... we'd won more FA cups and we'd also been the more successful team in Europe.
We had similar size fan bases, and similar sized stadiums and we edged them on average post war home attendances.

Stop sucking off the enemy, mate

What the fuck are you talking about?

2 league titles vs 11 league titles whilst we had 1 more FA Cup.

The could attract players like Henry, Campbell, Petit, Overmars, Viera and many more when we were fielding Perry and Taricco.

Just lying to yourself but if you somehow think we were on par with Woolwich pre Enic (90s) then it probably explains the delusional thoughts that we should be winning league titles.

This narrative that, we should know our place is what Enic have thrived on for years.
The people that support how good they are for our club, fail to see how far away we have fallen from those days you quoted.

The 1960s??
We weren't even that dominat in the 60s! Just 1 good year.
Otherwise what, a few cup runs in minor European competitions with a light scattering of FA Cups, enough for people to call us "a cup side".

People that thought we were some dominant force failed to see how good sides like Liverpool, United, Woolwich were in those periods.

With each new published financials, it becomes harder and harder to play the , we're just the little guy trying to compete with giants.
Could conceivably be the 3rd richest club in the country behind city and united in a few years and we'll still be playing the little man card

You mean Liverpool who had just returned to the top flight after being relegated got it👍

Some sadacts on here try to claim when we lose that all teams lose, so what?

Do you think top bods at ambitious clubs are happy about it? That they just go "meh" and carry on.
The top teams hate losing. They probably have massive meetings to discuss how it happened, why it happened and what can be done to stop it happening again.
We always have an excuse for losing. For losing games like this Saturday all the way up to games like a CL final, or a league game that would have taken us ahead of Leicester with a handful of games.

If there's excuses at the very top, they will work their way all the way down to every one.
All the social media posts making out like the players are fucking horrified are pathetic.
I don't want heartfelt messages. I want them to come back in the next 10 games and show me they're serious. And I want them to do that because that is what the club expects.

I don't care if we have a new manager.
We have one of those very 2 years on average. So they're always new.

One good year?
Are you on crack or totally ignorant to our history?

FA Cup 1961
League title 1961
FA Cup 1962
FA Cup 1967
Charity Shield 1961
Charity Shield 1962
Charity Shield 1967
Uefa Cup Winners Cup 1963

Edit - you need to look at when Liverpool actually won meaningful titles too.
First 4 were before 1925. 5th was immediately after WWII. 6th as 2 years after our double and the first "modern trophy in their history.
First FA Cup was 65
First league cup wasn't until 1981
First European silverwear 1977

We were ahead of them on most counts really until the 70's
