We can play a B team once we get through to the group phase. We cannot afford to lose any of these qualifying matches plus many of our players badly need minutes after minimal preseason. Kane would not have been as sharp as he was today without the game against Plovdiv.

When we are at the group phase we will start to play teams that are getting close to our B team.

If we play our B team against Shkendija every single player on our team would be by far the best player on their team. Likely the best player they have ever had at their club. They were the 3rd best team in the Macedonian League last year.

Kane not being as sharp is complete BS, there is zero way of knowing that and he certainly wouldn't have been as sharp if he rolled his ankle or tore his hamstring in Bulgaria.

My proposed B team which would have zero guys on it or on the bench that I would have starting on the weekend:

Gazza

Aurier-Foyth-Davies-Cirkin

Winks-White

Moura-Lamela-Sess

Alli
Feel free to swap Alli with Moura or Lamela, just put somewhere upfront because ideally we would have a striker who could play there by then but likely not.

That team includes 3 starters from our team last year, two of them started both our PL games this year. It also includes a guy rumoured to potentially going to PSG and a goalie that started multiple games for us in the PL last season.

I know everyone gets terrified by these Eastern European games but the truth is these teams absolutely suck. They are terrible. The team above would easily beat Shkendija 99 times out of 100 and the 100th takes so much bad luck that it could happen to any team we put out.

No need to risk injury to our top players or have them needlessly travel and play games that put strain on their health. Let them focus on the PL games and let our B team beat a team that is way below them in talent.

We can start with Aurier, Lamela, Sessegnon, Sissoko, Requilon, Toby, Alli, Bergwijn and the likes of Carter Vickers . Should be enough with a few kids like Clarke and White. I wouldnt be risking Lo Celso,Tanguy, Son or Kane, shouldn't even be on the bench.

I don't know how you can see this after pretty much our full strength team needed a penalty and two red cards for the opposition to avoid going out last week.

There should be a bit of rotation but we absolute have to play a strong team. Not Alli at centre forward.

Bergjwin, Ndombele, Lamela, Winks and Aurier should start but around them we still need players like Kane and Son.

On paper yes our B team is better than theirs but that doesnt mean we will beat them without the right creativity and setup. It's a one off knockout game and we just survived last week.

This is the game to bring Dele in, let's see if he wants to fight for his place or has given up.

He must realize he's been dropped for a reason as his form his been poor for well over a season now, with only flashes of the player we know he should be.

Our A team also needed a Bergwijn crossbar, clear missed penalty on Bergwijn, tap in miss by Son and gimme goal for Davies to miss to not be 4-0 at half.

If we need to have our top team to beat the 3rd and 4th place teams of Bulgaria and Macedonia than a. those teams should selling their players because they are playing well below the level they should be and b. we need new players.

It is ridiculous how badly people overrate these garbage teams. They are 3rd in the Macedonian league for a reason, they are bad. They are in the Europa League qualifiers and rarely make it out for a reason.

Again the B team has players like Aurier, Moura, Davies who were starters for our 6th place PL team last season. These guys can't execute a game plan to beat a meh Macedonian team? Sessegnon is overwhelmed when matching up against the average players of the Macedonian League but is able to rack up the goals in the Championship? Dele Alli can start for us in the PL but isn't good enough to start against Sjkredija?

I don't think we (or Mourinho) are in any position to sacrifice a possible route to a trophy.

We've been fucked over the scheduling. Klopp prioritized the World Club Championship last season over the Carabao.. Man City had to put out a youth team in an FA Cup tie Vs Chelsea a few years back.

No players who are going to play the EL and PL games both this week and next week. It'd be risking injuries, which could compromise our entire season.

Yeah we could beat them without Kane or Son on the pitch and a makeshift striker in their place but it would be a risk.

Ideally we would have someone like Weghorst step in to have someone that knows the role up top but we don't so Son or Kane should start there to try to kill the game early.

We are a very inconsistent team at the moment and given that we will play a complete B team against Leyton I think it's still fine for the main players to be doing Thurs and Sunday games - that is not too excessive considering the season has just started.

We haven't been fucked over with scheduling, it's just the way the cookie crumbled I'm afaid.

No risk - no returns.

There's going to be a full 100% rotation obviously. Can't play Sun-Tue-Thur, it's literally impossible.

Just play the kids and reserves and get knocked out on purpose. Worthless cup regardless.

Hope that Cirkin, White, Sessegnon and Fernandes will play. Also hope to see on the bench Walcott from U18, Sterling, Scarlett and Devine. Other senior players like Sissoko, Lamela, Aurier, Bergwijn, Alli to play and we'll win easily.

And after a week we will smash Chelsea
