Not being funny but you could a better one for Tom Huddlestone.
What's next? "Look how Messi ties his boots..."
So 2013 was a bit of a let down
He had many injuries that season and it was before a world cup.Does anyone know why he was a bit crap (by his standards) in 2013?
Still 45 goals from 46 appearances.Does anyone know why he was a bit crap (by his standards) in 2013?
this thread is nonsense. you cant compare across eras cos the game has changed. Greaves et all were playing in a era when a defender could kick you up in the air. now its not far off non contact. players get booked for their second or third foul simply because its their second or third foul.
theres no doubt that some of the modern players are great great players. but how many goals could greaves etc have scored with modern training, nutrition and under current rules?
Against defenders that were well drilled, plucked from vast world-wide academies, on strict diets and with state of the art training regimes? It’s debatable.
No denying that Greaves was an incredible player, but the standard of footballers in general back then was significantly lower.
As for the thread question, Messi is the greatest footballer I’ve ever seen. Marginally better than Maradona. Greasy Ronaldo has a great scoring record largely due to being the most selfish fuck on the planet. Messi will offer a penalty kick to someone else when he’s on a hat trick. Greasy Ron has a tantrum if anyone other than him dares to score a goal.
It’s a pleasure to see such a classless player like greasy Ron being outshined constantly by a clearly superior footballer.
And an additional 100m Euro signing bonus!http://www.sportbible.com/football/...s-new-contract-is-absolutely-bananas-20171206
Messi new contract is basically bonkers €98000 euros a day after tax. It's just obscene. Can Barca really afford this.
