It's five years ago and can't be arsed to go through it, but in the transfer thread, there are loads. I recall the "celebrations" with absolute clarity.

I also think a defence mechanism was also triggered at the time because Merson had come out and slammed the signing, which triggered fans to condemn him and therefore take the opposing view???
 
Good luck to him. Credit to him for taking a move and going somewhere to play. He could have sat on his backside like others have done and picked up the dough.

Now get Winks to follow him out the door and i'll be happy.
 
Not his biggest fan but he had his moments. I was watching the Ajax game again and it’s easy to forget his influence in those games. His final was so unfortunate but can’t fault him in those Ajax games. He even hits that high slow ball up to llorente. Would have been easy for him to really punt it but he got the elevation and pace perfectly.

If that 18yr is Sarr I'd feel really really comfortable. That said Sissoko is a good man and has been a decent buy for us I wish him well. Sadly for Watford he offers little without that engine he had and its clearly on wind down.
