Apparently United are looking to buy/loan in Swedish national team captain and centre back Andreas Granqvist in January. Granqvist did impress at the world cup but moved back to Sweden and his boyhood club after the cup. His agent has confirmed that big clubs have asked about him but won't confirm which.
The theory going is that United have looked at how he has handled Lindelöf in the national team and think that he can replicate that for United until they can get in a more "big name" signing in the summer.
