I'm fine with this actually.
Managerial appointments in general are a bit weird. Quite often the most random, out-there appointments are the most succesful.
Christian Gross and his travel card was ahead of his time, and the pre-Oyster card movement

Would prefer him right now
Reading a torrent of apologetic bullshit from Levy fanatics as my football team flounders does hurt my feelings, yes.
And Son
Look at who I just quoted, all I keep seeing is "give him a chance" "at least we have hired someone" "it might work out"I'm in two minds as to the most depressing thing about this proposed development.
The manager himself
Or that some of our own fans have already started to justify it.
It's like they get some kind of sordid, sexual relief from Spurs being the laughing stock of football
Everytime Levy makes a stupid penny pinching unambitious decision that has disaster written all over it and people contest it for valid reasons we get the defenders coming out in force calling people melts.
Fair play to Daniel, he really has created a cult at this club, I would be impressed if he wasn't destroying the football club I have loved for 30+ years before my very eyes.
His penny pinching will backfire, yet again, this time he will blame the DOF and his cult fanbase will also blame the DOF and shift blame away from Daniel, rinse and repeat etc.
Do people even remember Poch's Southampton? They were really good!I wonder what this mob was saying
when Pochettino was hired from Southampton? Same tune as this?
And Mr Corleone is a man who insists on hearing bad news immediatelyHe’s a manager Watford would make. Awful shit appointment. No doubt a cheapo Levy 6th choice. I’m so sick of Daniel levy I really am.
WTFHonestly, the thing I like most about this is that Spurs fans hate it. Most stuff Spurs fans love turns out to be a horrible failure, so the fact people hate this is a positive.
As one of those melts, I hear what you are saying, BUT:I wonder what this mob was saying
when Pochettino was hired from Southampton? Same tune as this?
I'm just happy that it seems that we are getting a new coach that plays attractive football. We wouldn't win any titles next year with Conte, Pep or Klopp either. So looking forward to watching Spurs games will be something that I'm looking forward to.
Everybody also is pointing at Levy. I'm pretty sure this is the new DoFs appointment.
I regret the last hour of my life reading all the melts bullshit on here.
Here's a sample of the posts on the 1st page of the Poch thread...I wonder what this mob was saying

Son will score lots of goals in his system.
I didn't hate Sherwood. I actually liked the Sherwood days and thought it was harsh to sack him, but had nothing against Poch. I'd have had Sherwood back again now, but seems like he's doing something else...As one of those melts, I hear what you are saying, BUT:
Poch replaced Sherwood, who was absolutely hated by the fanbase.
Poch had done an excellent job at Southampton.
Our squad had a lot more promise to it then than our current one does. I mean look at our defenders now.
I don't think the appointment of Poch was met with any disgust. I think at the time I wanted Benitez and was very much 'wait and see' with Poch. The Southampton positives were there.
This appointment just doesn't compare and given how long it has taken, it feels like a total farce. I'm a former backer of Levy but I am now sick of the cunt and want him out.
