Hi mate! I’m the owner of the Pie & Mash shop! Came across this chat which is great. Yes Tina from the Coach came in, she loved the pies but yes she did give us some good feed back on the Liquor which we have tried to take on board. It’s a difficult one as it seems every one has differing opinions on how the Liquor should be, some say thicker and greener and others say lighter and thinner lol, so it’s hard to know and as you can imagine difficult to please everyone.
essentially we are not a traditional Pie & Mash shop as I’m sure most of you have gathered from the menu but we are trying out best to keep an old institution alive as lots of Pie & Mash shops are dying out. Anyway if anyone has any questions please let me know. Thanks

It wasn't open when I got there, but looking forward to giving it a try when we are allowed back. Maybe we should have a TFC meet up there instead of the Dispensary

Well so far the people that are giving us a chance and trying it the feedback has been good thankfully. Just come into it with an open mind and try not to focus on us as a traditional pie and mash shop. Have a great week

The truth is that most of that stuff that Nan cooked was pretty good if you didn't know what went into it !!
I cook ham hocks all the time & they are delicious. We have become a very delicate society that only wants the prime cuts. What is funny is that sausage, chicken nuggets & various meat pies are all made with the cuts that no-one wants to eat but everyone loves when it's not visible.
I used to be fine with heights but got much worse as I have got older. Not phobic , but really don't like them.

I thought when I finally can afford to go see a match in England, that I would try out Fish and Chips. Now I may have to eat lunch twice.
I even scrape that jelly stuff out of pork pies. I take the pork out, scrape the jelly off and put it back in again.
Yeah I know it’s borderline bonkers but that stuff is just weird and has no place in a pie.
My dear old Dad would have lost his mind if he saw you doing that.
After I was put up the chimneys at age 7 I scraped together the farthings and with the extra half crowns I got from toshing and mudlarking I got enough poppy to open a whelk stall.
