Decided to look up the differences between Hojbjerg and Sissoko to see what we are potentially looking at here:
Significant trade offs here in just a general comparison. No doubt significantly better in almost every aspect of defensive duties, but offensively way worse in some key areas offensively.
I mean, just imagine someone who shoots more than Sissoko with even lower shot accuracy. It's not like we would buy him for his scoring proficiency, but still.

Those are career stats for Sissoko and he spent much of his time before us playing as an AM/WF at Toulouse and Newcastle, so unless you were just comparing his time at Spurs v Hojbjerg at Southampton it's pretty meaningless, even with the raw stats like those. A more viable comparison would be say Winks ?
Wrong. They are not career stats. They are EPL stats and include when the Moose was playing for a not very good team just like Hobnob.

Ah OK stand corrected but he still played largely as an AM for Newcastle, occasionally as an 8 in a CM3, completely different remit to that of Hojbjerg at Southampton who's played entirely as a CM/CM2 I'm pretty sure. Hence all the crosses and shots for Sissoko etc.
Perhaps using the last two seasons as a sample would help the comparison - they were both used to the Premier League, and playing in similar positions.
