hell have to change or play someone out of position. you aint winning a game with that as your midfield its been tried and proven. might as well forfeit and save everyone the trip and torture.

He seems to be using Kulu as a weird advanced WB (if there is such a thing) to protect Emerson but also to prop up the front 2 when necessary.
I don’t know why Conte doesn’t just admit defeat and play Kulu as LMF / LAMF and be done with it.
I guess he wants to leave the space free for the WBs but seeing as they dawdle forward to then turn and pass to a MF player 2m away, he may as well put the extra body in there.
If it was FIFA or 1990, I’d push Dier up as a low DMF and then have my two progressive MFers…
