Manager Ryan Mason

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I’m looking forward to the ‘new manager bounce’ on Thursday.

I'd like to believe that.... I have no idea if it's true though.

The one thing we do know is that he's from a completely different 'school' to Conte/Stellini.
Unfortunately, his hands are pretty tied by the injury / availability situation. No senior full-backs. Limited midfield options.
Dropping kids into a match against a top four team ( see notes on Sarr yesterday) and an away trip to Anfield isn’t the answer.

Beat them? No.

I don't even expect Mason to have them up for it really, the fact that they weren't is down to Levy.

So why use it to taint his work here then?

"did a poor job last time."

He didn't. At all.

Anyway, I hold no ill will to Mason.

Hmmmm....

It's definitely time for him to leave the nest and get an EFL job after this season though.

Def. the right plan, yes.

How is giving them premier league minutes going to stunt their growth? Players like Mundle, Devine, Santiago are 20 or 18 years old. Make or break ages. The likes of Rashford and Saka were dropped into their clubs to rescue seasons and it turned out well for them.

The context of the game and the occasion is everything...... This shouldn't need explaining.

There is nothing left to rescue other than a tiny bit of pride by avoiding a weekly slaughter....... It's a bitter end that needs to be ground out.

When the new manager is in place, surely Mason needs to be moved on too.
He'll be like a ghoul hanging around waiting for the sacking. It just can't be a good dynamic.

Nothing against the bloke, I just think it'd be better for him to get a fresh start somewhere else. Maybe come back one day.
Think he should be given the U23, about to get relegated, he came from a successful period of youth development. Makes sense, so won’t happen.

The atmosphere on Thursday could become very toxic, not the right time to be blooding the youth imo

Ding dong Stellini’s gone.

If Ryan gets us through this then he deserves a medal. If the players still fail to show up on Thurs then he should sack tap the lot of them on a half-hourly basis.
