True as that may be, Mendy is a good deal better than Regui. Regui doesn't offer anything that Mendy doesn't but Mendy is a bit more physical, and doesn't get battered about as much.
We will definitely have to disagree on this.

Mendy is currently better defensively but Reguilon is far superior attacking with much better delivery. What Reguilon lacks in physicality can be trained and his defensive shortcomings coached, but dont see the same for Mendy's offensive shortcomings.

Last season, when both played in La liga, Reguilon was voted best LB by many sources, and I cant remember a single source ranking Mendy above him.

I have never understood the treatment of Reguilon, Theo, and Hakimi by Madrid, but past evidence hints that Zidane seems to have his favorites who start ahead of others independent of ability or form.

Unfortunate that he's out and will miss 5 Premier league games.

Hopefully Davies is fit and available so we have a LB.

It happens , we haven't really had any first teamers injured properly yet. Hopefully he'll be ok and be back ASAP.

Whoever plays LB tomorrow need to be at their best to stop the league's current top scorer.
