Im a big Ndombele fan, think he has heaps of talent and was worth the transfer fee (atleast at the time).

I do think it’s time we moved him on if possible though as it’s been 2 years now and multiple managers appear to have come to the same conclusion.

What’s frustrating is he could be a world beater if he could sort his fitness/hunger to succeed out..
He doesn't seem to have any issues with hunger.

I'm all for this. Find out once and for all. He's not had a good Spurs career but let's be serious, he started under a broken Poch. Was struggling in England, got the Mourinho treatment of being thrown under a bus, showed to signs of improvement then the whole team went to shit. He has so much ability with a ball at his feet I feel like we need to see if a nice guy like Nuno can get a song out of him.

He hasn't really had 2 years. He was excluded for at least half that for various reasons. The world hasn't been normal since he signed.

I also don't see so many people clambering for GLC to be moved on who has hardly set the Premier league alight since joining at the same time.
There are not question marks around GLC's attitude generally. He's had fitness issues but hopefully he is over those. He tends to be one of our better players when fit.

He played a major role in Argentina's Copa America win while Ndombele was at home making full use of his Deliveroo premium account. Sissoko was in the French squad ahead of him ffs.

There are simply no excuses left for Ndombele. He's been in training since July 1st with a clean slate and a new manager to impress. He's failed to play a single minute yet Skipp has played almost all of them after a broken ankle. GLC and PEH have featured despite playing deep into international competitions. He's not a serious player and we need to cut our losses asap.

If we can keep Harry and tie him down to a new contract, plus get this Martinez, it would be an incredible window. Obviously we still need to sort out the rest of the defence. We have to mend the relationship with Harry, forgive and keep him for at least another season. Fuck City off!!!

You're one of these grumpy gits that can't cope with little old Chelsea being in our shadow pre 1990s are now blowing us out of of water, regularly.

They'd already over taken us by the late 90s.
Yes they're financially doped to the eyeballs. They weren't "cheating" when it started however. There was nothing in the rules that said it couldn't happen and it had already happened. Blackburn and Newcastle had a go with some success.

I maintain that had Chelsea not come along back in 2003 and really blew Man United out of the water, we'd still have a 1 team premier league today. United would be the Premier League equivalent of Bayern Munich. Pillage their nearest rivals every year with money no one else can ever earn because they are nowhere near able to compete.

So dirty money? Yes.
But it made the league more interesting.
Twice I've had to say this now, I'm NOT grumpy or pissed off. I am at a loss as to why Spurs fans are sucking the shlong of Abramovoic though!!!

I'm ONLY and have ONLY rebuffed the notion that as the other poster specifically said that they've been brilliant because they have a "winning formula". That's absolute bollocks, the formula is they have one person (their owner) spunk the largest sum of money ever (£1.7b) into the Club as an interest-free loan, that will almost certainly never be repaid. That's it. There's nothing clever with what they've done, the club hasn't built an academy that feeds their first 11 with Talent, they hire the same managers as us, go after the same players as us, have the same DoF as us. They've not disrupted the game because they've created something sensational, they've just spunked £1.7b they have never ever earned.

Yet you and the other guy seem to be pushing back on this every time. Why?

IMO it's not more interesting since Chavs came along. It's been a closed shop between Chavs, Utd., Woolwich and now latterly City. This closed shop has come about because of the PL, prior to the PL, the First Division was far more movement from year to year (with the obvious exception of Liverpool dominance of the 70's/80's). Utd, Spurs, Villa, Forrest all getting relegated, with 2 of those teams winning the League and European Cup.

Since the formation of the PL there have only been 7 winners in the past 29yrs with only 2 coming from clubs outside the big 6 (Blackburn 26yrs ago! & Leicester a freak 5000-1!). Prior to the PL there were 15 clubs that had won in the last 34yrs of the old First Div, with 8 of those Clubs not from today's big 6!

I also don't see any drastic change to the top 6 either (City, Man U, Chavs, Liverpool, Spurs, Woolwich) in the years to come as still these clubs dominate the revenue of the other sides and are structured to maintain this hold. But within this small band of Clubs at the upper scale, there is Utd richest Club in the World, City 2nd most dopped Club in the World & will be in richest 3rd in the world if you calculate City Group as a whole, Chavs most doped club in the World, LFC 4th largest fanbase in the World, these revenues dwarf ours and Woolwich (2nd most supported club in the Wolrd), making 50% of the elite England clubs dopped clubs.

Armstrong: Blackburn > S'oton 15m.....

Some here fancied a punt on him. Be interesting to see how that one pans out.

He is plenty hungry, but for food

Caveat being how much cash were they prepared to pay on top.....?

My gut would be they offered both players and zero cash with a view of it equating to 100m..... Which is kinda what was rumoured six weeks ago.... I'd also suggest that over-prices both players....

Laporte 40-50m
Jesus 25-30m

He had two damn years already. No manager likes him. Nuno sent him to the dog house already and he’s been here for a month. The guy work ethic must be absolutely zero. We must sign midfielders.
I think it's the last chance saloon for Ndombele for sure, but I would like to give him that one last opportunity under a coach like Nuno who will be focussing on getting him fit more than Mourinho.

And yes, I know Mourinho broke lockdown rules to go to his flat and help him train, but overall the squad wasn't as fit as it should have been.

One last opportunity? If he won't make enough of an effort to impress a new coach who uses as system that would probably be a huge benefit to the player, then what more needs to be seen. That should be his last opportunity. He doesn't give a flying fuck about playing at a top level.

"A £54m signing back in 2018 according to BBC Sport, Laporte is one of the top defenders in the Premier League. And last season the Spanish international was demoted to the bench at City following the form of John Stones".

A player that sits on the bench behind John Stones is not the definition of "one of the top defenders in the PL". (I like both Stones and Laporte BTW, Laporte in my eyes is better). You simply can't be the "best" at something if you don't even play for your team.
